this phone is good,only one mistake:cameras sound is always on,you cant make it off(or i dont know how,i hope)if some body knows tell!!!

i got this mobile on last valentine's...and its awesome. its a very good mobile, it did not scatch or anything like that, and there were already 2 occasions where it fell off my hands and there haven't been any damages!! it's camera gets stupendous photo shots...it's like having pics with a HD camera!...it's stores all quite a lot of music and photos and headphones worked very good. i even attched it with a 20" television from the TV-Outlet and the picture was quite good and i could play the games installed (3d-rally) on the TV....it's great...i would recommended for sure.
it's the best gift i could get!

This is an awful phone. constantly freezes up so have to take the battery out to 're-boot' it. The keys also stick and I'm totally fed up and frustrated with it. Highly recommend you do not get one - far too many others on the market which work!

I'm surprised to read all these bad comments on the phone. It's a perfect phone; I bought it 3 1/2 months ago & it's really amazing. Just make sure it's original. Mine is made in Hungary & I haven't encountered any problems with it so far. I recommend it to everyone :)

I think Nokia has a problem with the software. I am on my second one and it also has issues. I'm on my second software repair already. It hangs, it does not keep the settings, it scracthes when it slides... It is quite frustrating and please, as a word of advice, Do not buy this phone.

sorry my englesh is not good!!! do this: *#06# and you will see the serial number.and then you have to see the seventh and the eighth number. if its 00 ,01 the phone is good quality.but if its 02,is made by emirates which meens with bad quality. if somebody knows more about this please wright.

i bought this phone a while ago because it looked very classy and stylish but to be honest ive had enough of it now i really dislike it, ive always had sony erricsons and this is no comparison to them there is too many things rong with it.
It freezes all the time, the buttons stick, the button in the middle is sharp and the paint is peeling iv had to sand it down, sometimes the unlock sequence doesnt work, and if im playing music and i get a text it turned off and wont turn back on, i have to take the battery out, i have tried to install new software updates with the same problem and nokia is no help watso ever if i was thinking of buying a new phone please please please DONT GET THIS ONE :(

nokia 6500 slide has a problem of frequent hanging and when the call is gng on it get switch off also it takes time to proceed ie to operate new feature

mine's now starting to get rusty especially on the nav key maybe because I have acidic hands and also the keypads already have so many scratches due to the sliding mechanism but its not that obvious really. bought it last november 2007. Is there any way I could use the front camera to take photos?

S40 based mobile phones, like this one, can't get a virus.
maybe you experienced a glitch or a bug. Do a firmware update to avoid the same glitch/bug from happening again. If you really want to format your phone, just use the restore factory setting.
