Well, am gonna update my last post about the click sound that occurs after taking the picture...
I found in other forums that this sound is normal, the lens moves back to its normal position after taking the picture (caused by the auto focus), so other users in other forums confirmed that they hear the sound too
Well, i would like to know more about it from users in this website if they can confirm hearing this click sound too

Hi everybody...
Well, i noticed something with the camera yesterday, when i take a photo using the camera button (auto focus first then shooting) the camera makes a click-like sound when it ends the preview after 3 second (i.e when it goes back to its ready to shoot mode), and it does exactly 3 clicks, they are really so quite but if you are alone in your room and no sound around you can easily hear those clicks. I don't know if this is normal, like the camera lens is reseting after the focus or so but i would like to be sure about by other users who have the same phone.

I think it's all on how you use your handset and where you apply force to slide it up , i use the rubber grip provided which is right under the screen. my keypad's new as ever after a month.
If you however , are not too rough with it and it still scratches , I suggest you ask for an exchange , it could be that the slide/handset balance is not balanced like someone here mentioned.

Honestly,it's a great phone. About the scratches on the key pad? I,don't have any problem unless if you have a rough thumb..

Im planning to buy a 6500 slide & i have red a lot comment to some other users the the slide affects the keypad which cause scratches and others says no scratches in the keypad, so which is true? and what was the real score about this fone? kindly anyone answer..thanks

Anyone else have problems removing the simcard or is it just me , after i slide the switch all the way down that flushes out the simcard , i feel that a small portion of the simcard gets ejected and this makes it hard for me to pluck it out considering i have small nails :/ or AM i doing Something Wrong ? :/

I got the phone today.
What I don't like is, My ringtone is "Way I Are". And it will play for like 20sec then stop.
But I got the same tone for my messages and it plays the whole song... :@ Any-one know whats up?
Ohh.. And when I take out my battery, it resets back to the "nokia tune"..
:@ Soo annoying.
Apart from that..

I had problem with my keypads it has lots of sratches made by the slide of my fone and I thought this fone is good but is isn't bec. the sliding causes the scratches on my fone so I had to buy another fone

go to settings then choose TIME AND DATE, then choose TIME ZONE. be sure its in the time zone of the country where you live

Hi, i've just recently brought a nokia 6500 Slide and have used it only for today. Being new at it and all i have gone through it quite alot and am on full battery life so far (actually one bar down to be precise).. My only question i have to ask is though, when i recieve an sms the time displayed is like almost 10 hours back from the current time, is there a way i can change that?

me too, im happy and content with my N73. its an all-rounder. no wonder it had become one of nokias top seller. sure that it has shortcomings and flaws (all of them has) but you surely going to like it

5700xm sounds way better. aac sounds ok but not mp3. compared to n73, i cannot see the difference between 262000 and 16m colours. already sold this phone after 1 week used. what a waste of money. im sticking with my old n73.

Can anybody tell me if you can activate voice dialling through a bluetooth headset? I have done the voice training but I still have to press the "names" key and say the name of the person I want to call, rather than pressing the call button on the headset.
I'm not sure if this model allows that function. My N95 did. Many thanks

does anyone know how to get the camera light to stay on for both the camera and recorder?if u press the side button with camera on it then light flashes when taking pics but no joy with the recorder.

the keypad doesn't jive with the overall look of this phone. it really does feel cheap. a waste of good phone design

I have had the 6500s for 3 months, great phone. Only thing I found that was off was the time-delay when answering the phone.
