key pad can be changed over all the pone is cool!!!!!!!!!!!
the metal body is designed in such a way that it protects the pone from scratches (not the key pad)

can 5610 do tv out only on 6500?? which sounds louder dis one or 5610?? oh yeah thanks to all who replied to me^^

almost everything is good about the 6500slide but the battery life is not good it runs almost 2 days, what is the normal battery life?

I've had the 6500 slide in limited black edition for almost a week now and I haven't encountered the problems posted here. It's working perfectly. No scratches on the keypads, my battery lasted up to 3 days straight before I had to recharge it, and mind you, I use it often. I didn't experience time-delay when answering calls and it doesn't hang up/drop either. I simply l-o-v-e this phone.

Posted some pictures of the keypad (unscratched) after a month of usage and some side angles shots of the phone , the thickness shown by my canon however is weird.. it's really not that FAT!

Well I'm glad for all the people satisfied with this phone. My experience on the other hand is a very very bad one. Battery life is killing me.And when I mean killing I mean brutalising. Fully charged this phone lasts somwhere around 14h if you actually use it. I admit I talk pretty much on the phone but 14h autonomy is ridiculous for a 300+ euro phone. Other then that I had no problems with it, great design, great functions but to what use if you can't fully enjoy them....

Seeing is believing! I've heard it. Im tired of this phone. Every week i have to experience a new problem, but im still paying installments. Im taking it back. It was my first time using a nokia brand. Im never gonna look. back. Gone !

IMHO this is probably the best S40 phone made by Nokia, together with 6233. This phone is said to have better audio quality than 5610, and obviously better camera since it has Carl Zeiss lens.

5610 costs less than 6500. I was also confused like u between these two, but finally I got my 6500 slide just a couple of days ago & so far it's amazing !!

uhmmm may i ask what costs more?
im having a 50 50 descision here, i want a 5610 but i dont know how much it costs, is it more than the 6500 or less than 6500? 5610 display looks way better than nokia 5610 and it takes better pics also
helpp me before i buy a phone!

Had my phone 3 months now & no scratches on the keypad at all. The only prob i have is once every 3-4 days it resets to default settings.

Ok folks here goes, First off i must by apologising to people on here who gave bad reviews on this handset as up to now i hadn't had any problems.
1.i now have scratches on my # & * keys (not always obvious but scratches no the less)
2. my top key pad wouldn't respond last night until i closed the slide then opened it again.
I'm taking mine back to the T-mobile shop & changing it for the 6500 classic instead
first slide phone i've had 7 never again will i get one.
Could also be my last nokia as getting sick of all the software problems

I had a problem this quite days my keypads has scratches! and i don't know what happened! but I really took good care of my phone! maybee the slide of my phone scrathes the phone!

hi all i wanna know which camera is better 5610 main camera or 6500 slide main camera?iknow that 6500 has a carlziess lense but some people said that the 5610 camera is better than it.2nd is there any main problems in da 6500 slida?/3rd is the 6500 slide is expensive than 6510 or 5610 more expensive?by dollar n euro plz i'm sry 4 disturp

the nokia 6500 slide had a good run but recently the phone has had it fair share of faults i work in a phone shop and the
common faults are not holding its memory and
its locking the keypad and it wont unlock

Hi all
Well, i have the phone for a week now, and i have encountered NO problems at all, everything is working fine, no freezes, no hang ups, and not a single scratch on the keypad as some users say...
The phone is really solid, the slide mechanism is excellent, nothing is loose in it. The speaker is definitely louder than the Nokia 5610, i tried them both at the same time, and you can achieve the clarity in 6500 by adjusting the equalizer just below the maximum...
Wonderful screen, excellent colors, it might not have the best camera but still good enough for capturing very good images. The video recording with 640x480 resolution is very good, smooth enough with 15fps, and as Nokia posted in their website, you can have a 30fps with a lower resolutions.
I love this phone, and i really recommend it, just make sure you have the latest firmware (4.81) and everything will go as you wish.
