I do not understand why people are making such a fuss abt the front camera not being able to work other than for video calling!
All front camera's are VGA ! I Had the n73 and it worked for portrait shots and take horrid shots even in bright light conditions!
If you so love to take pictures of yourselves , why dont activate the better 3.2 carl zeiss camera , face it towards a mirror or a reflecting material and "SNAP" away?!
geeeez! it's just a phone , not GOD!

well.
I got mine and , theoretically was nwew, but it was already slightly scratched and dusty (micro9 but could not get a replacement. Disadvantages of buying online.... and NOkia does not change it.
Oterwise, lovely beautiful little thing. Good screen, ok keypad, it heavy, need to buy an adaptor for better headphones , too. I'm using 2gb of music now.Good photos too.
It resetted when searching for radio stations and using bluetooth so I updated it via NOkia and it has been ok.
Battery better than expected also.
I hope to enjoy this for a while.

The price is dropping fast. $342 at PhoneSource. Again, just paying for an N73 with a slider design (minus S60). None of the features standout except that it looks good and made with better materials. I'll probably get bored of it fast. Good price though. Still a better phone than what most US carriers offer here. I'd rather have this than a RAZR 2 or Shine.

Hi all! when i am listening to the music player
in the phone, it will 'hang' when a new sms comes in! what happened? i have to take out the battery and start the phone again...
does it have to do with my software version?
Anybody please do advice me... urgent!

i've had this phone for a month now and have upgraded my firmware to 4.84 (downloaded from nokia.com), and so far, i've no problems with it. no scratches on my keypad, no more resetting of tone settings. sometimes the time reflected on received messages does not sychronize with the actual time i receive it. but it's ok with me.. so over all, i like the phone. it has sleek design, i like the metal casing, i like it that it's not too heavy and not too bulky.
i'm just wondering if the slide would get loose after months of using it. i hope not.

I have no scratches on my handset. My handset have never reset to default settings
I'm with T-mobile who are notorious for extra hanset testing before release which could be the reason the phone is fine.

I feel all you kiddies who are moaning abt the scratches on the phone should use your brains rather than your bottoms and get to a nokia care service point and show it to them and get a replacement or something rather than coming out here and moaning abt technical faults ..
I've had mine and i use it like the man that i am , and i no scratches , so to all those that have the problem , get in touch with a nokia service centre .. that's what a warranty is for aint it?
i dread to think what make happen if the phone is dropped & those big bad scratches appear on the cases of the phone :-O

mine is from Hungary and for a month use the keypad is scratched, and the slide creaky. works fine at first. sound not so good. speaker is at the back side and makes the sound more inaudible. the themes and the tones settings go back to the default all the time.

Be wary with this phone, if you connect it to a computer, you must never just disconnect the cable without closing down all relevant apps and usb active connections or this phone loses its ability to recognise the microsd card. Otherwise, its currently the iphone killer IMO

I am just about to buy this phone, but I saw lots of negative comments about this phone which bothers me.
1. Does the slide actually scratches the keypad? Is this problem only to a certain batch of phones and it no longer exist now?
2. Does the phone always got set to default when you turn it off? That's a huge turnoff by the way.
I need these answers urgently. I thank you in advance to any gentlemen who answer my qns. :)

Ive had this phone for a few months now and LOVE IT!! Only question I have, how do you get the message tone to repeat itself. On past phones If I dont hear a msg go off the phone would beep every 5 mins or whatever. THis phone doesnt. ALso the same If I miss a phone call, it doesnt beep.

Respon to those guy who having the problem of screen server changing,ringtone changing problem.
this is a s40 platform phone and not like s60 symbian phone whereas when u change ur themes the screen server will change and the ringtones might change to default as well..
for some version of 6500 slide when u off on ur phone the mentioned setting on the phone will back to default..
plz make sure u always check the update of new version released by nokia.this can help to fixed some internal bugs.
