how come my 6500's time is not synchronized with the time of the text message? how do i fix this problem for example, the phone's time is 1pm,then someone sent me a text at that time. but when i check the time it was sent, it's 6 hours late

i work for a major network provider,we have already got the dummy models of the 6500 slide in black in stores to display, were just waiting for stock to get released to us,
who says you cant get it in black, and its exclusive to us

This phone is frustrating!!
Looks and feels great.
Key pad scratches though and screen scratches the headphone socket is not standard size, I have to take the battery out to reset the bluetooth connection with my car kit. You have to push the fiddly volume button to use the voice activation and it wont let me dial from the steering wheel controls in the car. Voice recognition is robotised and gets confused. does not answer calls strait away when you sue the slider there is a 2 second delay meaning your ear gets buzzed with the ring tone or you miss calls. takes too long to lock and unlock.
However camera is great and it si very easy to navigate. Screen looks great too. Calls are very clear. Just a shame everything doesnt work as it should. Why cant phone companies get everything right? There is the ability to upgrade the software but this has done nothing to correct the faults yet.

Keypad does not scratch!!
There is no delay when usng the active slide!!
Got to love T-Mobile who actually do stringent software & model checks on their handset before they are released.
My software version is 4.81 & none of the problems that people are talking on here.

Hi Daniel,
6500 Slide has got 2 cameras, 1 at the front. it is placed just to the right of ear-piece speaker at the top of the phone. it's very small, but can be located easily.

I've tried everything within this model so far & had no problems. Having worked with mobile phones in the past (i know Nokia software faults) & i can honestly sayso far everything is fine.
Slider does not scratch nthe button thats nonsense.
Getting a 2gb memory card myself soon

i am getting this phone as an exchange for the 6500 Classic model which has been an absolute nightmare. I went into the shop to try this out, and it felt great. It's slightly heavier than I expected but I do prefer knowing that I'm holding something in my hand. The classic also has a really dull screen, to which this slide version was much brighter and richer. Never had a slide phone before, always a first for everything.

I bought a n82 last week and sold it the same day! Too expensive, shamefully badly built, uncomfortable keypad,just average music player....too much if you do not need symbian.Anyway, I just need a nice phone to listen to usic get a picture or two in summer and sometimes play games.

I'm getting mine tomorrow..after having a delightful 5610 that I had to sell...and still waiting for a replacement unit of a just bought faulty 7390 since October from NOKIA TecnServce....
I love the design of this 6500 but you are making me soooo worried...is it that terrible?I just want a smal phone with good music and a camera,nice screen and comfortable keypad and able to accept java games.....oh dear!
I sold my 5610(cost me about 450 dollars, 355 euros) an got this 6500 quite cheap (about 200 dollards, 260 euros),unlocked and new.

Brilliant handset & anyone saying their keypad gets damage by the slider must have a dodgy model

Going to get this phone (well thinking about it) at 13.30hrs today but i'm reading alot of bad opinions on here. Can anyone confirmm if this is worth my money or should i be looking at another nokia?
Possibly even the N73?/

The phone is not worth the price.got mine 2wks bk and its been one problem or the other.the memory card reads at will so wallpaper,caller tunes go bk to default.names stored on phone memory dont show when a call is being recieved.shows no only so also for text msgs.list is endlesssssssss
