In my opinion it was good decision to buy the smartphone. Enough options, excelent design, all in obtainable price. But sometimes it hangs, can it be with my phone only? and maybe it has any defects.

I bought one 10 days ago, I would be quite happy but for a serious defect that is making me think my purchase is not asuccess: when answering a call by the "green" key it sometimes (more or less once every 5 calls) answers the call, turns loudspeaker on broadcasting the conversation, and hangs. No way to recover the situation but removing the battery. many users are complaining the same defect on the nokia forum but nokia still delays in providing a patch for it.

Hi.i'm a medical student & am using Nokia E50 for around a month now.it's just too cool,sleek & cheap equipment.at this price,i never imagined to get all this.the quality of build,calling,screen,emails,internet,all're amazing.u name a useful feature & this set has it & that too in a practical working order.the camera's cool too though only 1.3megapixel,i'm not concerned,with pictures.bluetooth's amazing too,i'm listening to mp3,aac music formats.it supports memory card too upto 2gb.i'm using 1gb successfully,with no reduction in scroll speed.the battery's coming to 1day for me as i'm a heavy user.that's decent.usually with N80,Pocket Pc,i used to get 5-6hrs.it's awesome.hats off to Nokia,for making such a beauty,such a price tag,sleekest of all Nokia phones.the build quality's excellent.no creeks,sounds,etc.all parts fit snugly.nice large screen too.any questions about E50,i'll be happy to answer.see ya.

Go the Log then options then settings in settings Show Call Duration (yes)
To Mike
We can record the calls or voice recordings only for 60sec (1.min)
Some thing Bad about E-50
*very slow
*text size is very smal
*battery timing is not like as they told in specification
*its hangs for a min when goes for send the message or open the message
*some themes not works
*joy stick is harsh for fingers
But me still like it because of its Size

Font size of this cell is very small for my liking. Can anyone help in increasing the font size in Nokia E50 cell

hi!i want to know if anyone can tell me,how long can you record (with the voice recorder)with the e50(i mean it`s like any other symbian phone limited to 1 min or you can record as long as the memory allows you???)

Nokia E50 has a great look , easy to catch hold. The software is bit confusing , the fonts are very small especially in phonebook and messaging , it heats up while talking for more than 5 min. it hangs up once in a day I have to switch off and swithc on again. It is worst than 6230. 6230 was great

I gues that some people do not know how to use a smart phone... more applications running in background results in less standby time... use the task manager of the phone an quit some applications... a try not to keep BT on... There is nothing wrong with the battery... it is only the way u use the phone.
If u still dont have enough standby time or talk time, go with the phone to the seller... remember that u have a 2 years warranty!!!

As I have mentioned before the sound through stereo handsfree is as good as other high-end phones like N73, N80, 3250 etc.

E50, The worst performance ,
Battery talk time maximum + 3.5Hrs. Not 6Hrs.
Stand by Just Two days. May this features not working for me. Outer Sound Performance its reall Bad,
My sugg DO NOT BUY NOKIA FOR MUSIC OR BATTERY , GO FOR SONY ERIC......
