Good phone but after just 6 days of use the options key has virtually stopped working (must be pressed very hard to work, so hard it nearly beaks the key) which is a slight problem as it is the unlock key aswell!!!. once automatically locked it is a mission to unlock it!!!. The home button has also become hard to operate. not as bad as the options but still hard. Any ideas??

Can anyone tell me HOW TO INSTALL THEMES... coz i tried installing themes from zedge.net from my pc..then syncd it with my fon wen installing.. it showed "certificate XXXX" problem.. how should i deal with this?? can anyone please help me..=)
by the way, ive had this fon for a few days now, and it's really AMAZING..despite its small size..=) really FIERCE phone..

I loaded a 1 GB MicroSD card with some MP3 & Video files fillingup 750 MB & 250 MB is still vacant in the card. I installed applications provided as default (only 3 or 4). I configured about 9 FM Radio stations. In the last few days, comparing to the beginning I feel that the volume has gradually reduced while listening the FM Radio / MP3 / MPEG4 songs (all using the Headset that came with E51). I tried even after switching off the 3D ringtones feature. But nothing worked out & day by day the volume is going down. Can u suggest me any patchup or solution for this. You can call or directly send a sms to the number embedde... moreMhelKia - Phils, when I posted my views on s60 vs s40 telephony, I wrote it in mind with the AUTOMATIC FIND being on. It's always on in my E51.
What I'm saying is, with S40, just by highlighting the SMS in the inbox and without opening it at all, pressing the CALL key brings up every phone number (including the sender's number) or any other number embedded in the SMS and from there you can dial the number...and this is being done without even opening the message!
With S60 when you highlight the SMS and press the CALL key it asks if you want to call the sender and that's it, nothing more. You will HAVE to open the SMS to see the other numbers and even when I make use of the AUTOMATIC FIND and jump from phone number to phone number, pressing the CALL key asks if I want to make a voice call or internet call. When I select voice call it goes back to the message, guess that's a bug. However, if a phone number is highlighted, pressing the center key ALSO asks if I want to make a voice call or internet call. If I go ahead and continue using the center key to select voice call, it dials the number...something the CALL key refuses to do.
Bottom line, it's quicker calling a number from a SMS using S40.

Paul, 22 Dec 2008 OJ...one more thing,are there problems with the silver ... morePAUL, yes you can download apps, games and themes straight to the E51. I only use Wi-Fi to do this because it's free. However, if you have a GPRS / EDGE data plan or 3G access that's more internet connectivity options for you.
You can find excellent stuff at Mobile9.com, Zedge.com and Dotsis.com. Dotsis is a very comprehensive site with almost everything you could ever need.
The black E51 is the best type to have if you don't want peeling to happen. I have the black and love the quiet attention appeal it brings. The chrome is too loud and may attract thieves.
The memory card I mentioned was a 4GB NOT 8GB. It is indeed a class 6 and the manufacturer is A-Data. The package is labelled A-Data 4GB Turbo.

OJ...one more thing,are there problems with the silver chrome with regards to it peeling and would i be better in getting a black finish? you also mention an 8gb turbo class 6 memory,what make is it and are they easily found..thanks again

Mr OJ..please help me,can i download direct to my E51 withought downloading first to my pc and also please recomend sites that have usefull applications and are free,which ones do you use for free games,music,applications etc...let me just say that you are a great help to novices like me who have just started to use S60 smartphones...thamks for your help in advance..

Can anyone tell me if ADOBE reader can be downloaded on this fone?
Can books be downloaded here> Or does this feature only is compatible with treos and O2s and HTCs?

Music Player stopped working in my e51 the other night after unplugging it from my laptop running PC Suite. It keeps showing "Searching for tracks" when i open Music Player. I did not remove any tracks. In fact i can use Gallery to play my track lists but thats all. I tried reconnecting to PC Suite and added some more tracks then stopped the USB connection before i unplugged my phone but that didn't work. I dont want to upgrade my original firmware now and its the last resort. Please, any help?

its better then sony xperia,i can guarantee that.
sony ericsson is phone with high price with low performance...better us brands l.g after nokia.
