I have disposed off ... moreMy menu only hanged once but I think it was because the brower or wasn't completely closed. After pressing the end key it went back to standby screen and I don't ever recall that problem ever happening again.
No complaints here about this extremely powerful phone.

NOKIA E51 SUCK'S DONOT BUY THIS SET
I have disposed off my Nokia E51 yesterday that i bought almost a month back
The Phone is good but the menu screen hanging problem was very offen.
Instead of updating my E51 from version 100 to 200 the problem was there, no one knew the solution even the Nokia customer care department does't have any answers.
My recomendation is to check if anyone in your area knows how to solve this issue and then go for buying it or else donot to buy Nokia E51.

does the e51 have a detachable cover? like can the silver, black, and rose steel be changes easily? becuz i know e50 is not detachable if u know wut i mean. thank u for whoever replies.

For those who have upgraded their E51 from 100.34.20 to 200.34.36. Can you please tell me the difference that you have noticed since you upgraded.

2) l... moreMADDY I too spoke about the lowness of the external speaker.
Normally you expect great loudness from a Nokia Symbian smart phone. I had the E50 for a short time and even that appeared to be louder.
Nokia has this theory that too loud a sound can damage your hearing, hence the reason for the low volume (and automatic ascending ringing once you set the ringer to level 5) in most of their newer phones like 6300 etc.
The ascending part doesn't bother me that much because it doesn't take a long time to reach full volume BUT low speakers are intolerable because it doesn't make sense having a phone if you constantly miss calls. Emergencies can hsppen anytime.
The loudest GSM Nokia phones were phones like 3310 & 3410 (those had monophonic ringing) and the loudest MP3 phones are phones like 6230 & 6233. After the 6233 the external volume went downhill.
According to GSMArena, it is said that the 6500 classic is one of the loudest phones to date. I'm yet to test it for myself so I can't comment.
I miss my 6230.

2) large phone memory-130mb(useful while downloading)
3) s60 v3rd for installing new softwares
4) slim and steel.
5) good music in headphone.
6) fast internet(gprs, wlan).
7) at normal use -battery back up for 2days, at internet use- 1day.
Disadv-
1) external sound is low
2) camera useful only at good light(sunlight)
3) no flash for camera.
4) screen is small-2'inch

When I went to the download link I was warned with this message: "Communications, including Skype to Skype communications, on Skype for Your Mobile are not free. For details of charges payable please read skype.com/go/mobiledownload"
So I didn't bother to download it.
But since you said you are able to make free calls with Skype I will go ahead and download it and see what the resulting factor turns out to be.
