just wondering if somebody know how i can run avi files in my mobile phone Nokia E51... also, where can i find quickoffice edit for free ....thanks guys !!!

I dont think so its battery has timing as long as u r telling here 4-days for but i can say its Decent but not as As u told what the battery power u have 1050mAh ya 1070mAh?

To tide,
the battery is very good. mine stays on for about 4 days from a single charge with heavy use. just to give you an idea, per day, *i send 100 - 150 text messages, * browse for about 1 hour, * call duration over all at least 40 minutes, * listen to music (via headset) for about 30 minutes. i do all this and my battery keeps up for about 4 days.
but i tried without music and browsing and it stood for about 5 and a half days.
so in conclusion the battery of a E51 will at least stay on for 4 days with no problems at all.
is there anyone who's experiencing low battery life than 4 days? with sensible use?

Nidhin,
having slowness with the E51 is unusual. I've solved my old E61 slowness problems by moving all my sms & phone book contacts to the external memory card. Also installed most of my applications and themes to memory card. If it doesn't work try switching off your phone for 5mins then start it over again.

can anyone ho is using the e51 more than a month , can tell me about the battery, how long does it last, with a solid use of the mobile.. users??

Well the hang up problem is not a very common issue in this forum. i think i still have not seen at least 5 posts regarding hanging up and slowness. I suspect that your phone has a bug in its firmware. take it back and get it replaced with another unit.
anyway you may check some facts and figures by entering this code on you phone when its in idle mode. *#92702689#
anyway i suggest you take it back and ask for a new one.

Hello, I bought the phone Y'day... Thanks for al the info I got from here.
But, just one issue: When I click on Menu, it does not go there. The screen gets kind of hung with mix of images from Desktop and Menu, and the applications do not run !!
Another is: E51 is supposed to be faster. It takes around 5 seconds to reach Mail box from the Desktop logo and 3 sdeconds to reach from the short-cut key.
I bought the phone from Nokia priority dealer, for getting an authentic piece. Hope no one has any doubt on their authenticity. ??
Lastly: Is there any way to verify the genuinity of the piece? Like seeing the seriel number, actual talk time, or anything else.
Please let me know, because I am little apprehend about the slowness problem and hanging for Main Menu command.

i'm using only a 2GB card on my phone. but i have seen people commenting that they even use 8GB cards on their phones. so if this phone can work with a 8GB card it definitely will work with a 4GB card. and no worries about the E90. i personally know a person who use an 8GB card on his E90. so again what i have to say is that you may use a 4GB card on both devices.

There's no way you can change the speed of frames per seconds from 15 to 30 so in fact you can not change the quality of the video but you can improve the quality of the pictures by using Adobe Photoshop in your computer after you transfer them from you phone, that's all you can do my friend.

Hi all, this is Prosenjitz here.Using this gem for almost a month. It's just PERFECT ! Well, almost! Only, if only the screen-size were a bit bigger! Actually most of the time I use this phone as my laptop substitute -- for web browsing, emailing, organising my tasks, taking notes, drafting letters etc etc.
Anyway, still IT IS THE BEST.

Thanks for your comments, after a long time reading your posts i finally upgraded from an O2 xda exec to the e51, and i love it. let me just say that you would not expect all these features in a slim sleek sexy package. i followed your posts and verified that my model is an actual made in Finland by nokia.
i have a few questions:
1)can you use the phone and turn off the reception? that is can use the phone normally but turn off the network mode. this feature is possible in many windows mobile devices by selecting the flight mode option so that you can use your device whilst being on a plane.
2)when using nokia maps, you must always be connected to the internet by 3g or wifi? that is can you use preloaded maps without a connection to the internet?
3)have nokia provided any latest firmware for this phone. when i checked on the nokia site it said that for my phone no software updates were available

this is my first smart phone
its great
but I have some questions
is there a software to make photos better
or change video to 30 fps instead of 15 fps
I found some software to do some effects on pictures like frame, I do not want that, I want better photos
I feel my phone is not that fast, I have all downloaded themes and apps on the phone memory, not memory card, may this be the problem?

Hi there, just got the phone, but I am unable to find a Countdown Timer!! Am I not looking @ the right places or is there none. Is there a 3rd party program available to simulate a timer?

*Lot of users never read the Specification what has mentioned for this Phone and whats its mean?
