This phone's relly good. I hope nokia comes out with an e51 with:
1. a camera that is autofocus and has flash
2. a longer lasting battery for our wifi use

If al these happens, i wont think twice about getting that new one.

I have been using the E51 for the past 2 weeks, and I am overall happy with the performance. However, I have two major problems. One is the battery life; it gets discharged within less than one day of use, while my previous phone 6230 used to last for 2 days easily at same amount of usage. Probably it takes more power due to WLAN, 3G etc, but then the battery should have taken this into acount. Second, I am not able to figure out, in the 'predictive text' input, how do I correct a word that is chosen by the phone wrongly. For example, in 6230, if I wanted to type 'go' the phone would give 'in'. I would then go to options>matches, select the correct word. Here in E51 I do not find that option.

Nokia does have it together... its a business phone meaning some businesses dont allow camera behind closed doors. They did it with the E50 too.

I have been using the E 51 for past 2 months. First the weak points. It hangs atleast once in a couple of days. The stereophonic headphones switch between mono stereo at own will, could be set specific problem, but the problem is there since day one. In the Reminder's section , some basic Nokia Phones give the feature for selecting Birthdays and Anniversaries separately. To Call reminder separately but not in this phone. No Linux support (I tried, did'nt find any). Psiloc's wireless presenter does'nt work with Non Microsoft/Wibcomm Bluetooth drivers. I am using Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (no support for that). The box said E 51 1 GB, but the memory card supplied is actually 512 kb, the rest is available as shared phone memory. Now the good feaures. GPRS speed is good. The metallic backside cover gives a good sturdy feel. Installing applications is a breeze. User Interface has always been a forte with Nokia, so is same in this case too. Dedicated keys for Calendar, Menu,Phonebook and Messages are a big help. Applications like Nokia Maps/ Voice Aid/ QuickOffice/PDF Reader/ZIP utility come preinstalled. An application called Conversation comes pre-installed, which clubs all messages sent and received to a particular contact, based on the contact name, somethind similar to sort by name in Windows, only that it shows message in in box as well as sent items together clubbed by contact name, sorted by sent/received date and time. All imagineable connectivity options are their, Bluetooth, IR, WLAN, USB, GPRS. Connectivity option to Bluetooth Keyboard and printers are also available. All in all I am enjoying the usage of my phone barring some jarring hanging problems. I think I have a good buy.

Got the phone this winter, it works excellent, it is my first time with symbian coming from palm os, the experience was outstanding: Multitasking, fast, easiest way to install third party applications. In the phone side: Sound quality excellent, very user friendly to make calls.
