I don't think I'll feel it huge. I'm having Motorola E680 and N90 is just slightly bigger and heavier than that. I should be ok with it. Looking forward to get it soon! :)

Good morning everyone (morning in Singapore)!

Well, as I have mentioned in the forum posts eearlier, the N90 does not support vibration due to the delicacy of its camera lense.

The phone will be released in Singapore on the 23rd of July so for countries it would be after this date. (It has always been the tradition for many years already)

Sorry for the error which i made as a result of reading your post wrongly. I thought you were referring to the Nokia 6101.

Nokia 6111 supports up to 23mb shared memory. It will be out in November at approximately 500SGD.

Nokia N90's menu will be a 3D based one without animations. I personally find that irritating.

As for the 6101, yes it supports a shared memory of 21mb. It goes on sale at $390 as of this weekend in Singapore. Not sure about the other country counterparts.

i would like to know some more things about N90, such as graphics, are they animated? Are its themes animated or not? Also if anyone knows about 6111, i want to know if its memory is only 21MB, this will be bad

                              To Loreto,

N70 and N91's screen resolution is different from N90. N70 and N91 is of the same resolution of the Nokia 6680.

Hope this info is of use to you.

The N90 would definately be the best mobile when it comes out,but i am dissapointed that Nokia has to always leave out something which they could have always included, like FM Radio, vibration etc...But i feel for people like me who have a 6680,6630 etc, this is not the right upgrade because it is too expensive right now & is the first with the new display resolution & features...
My next mobile would be somewhat like the N70 with the display resolution of the N90,with autofocus & i hope Nokia comes out with a good Symbian candybar like that..

Thanks Kelv, Yes it helped a lot to understand why N90 is better. We are all excited to see it in our hands, inspite of all the negative things told about this phone.

I definitely agree with you that N90 has the best external display of 128x128 pixel. Should be crisp and clear. More than that, I'm even more excited about the way the camera can be used. It is going to be easier just to rotate the camera module to an angle and change the focus on the target instead of moving the whole device.

Now, SE and Samsung have to think something better than this to excite people :P

I hope when N90 comes out in the market, it will be the best camera phone in its class!

Deciding on a phone actually depends greatly on one's decision on its functions, usability, price range and exclusivity.

As you have mentioned the 1150 from Motorola, yes, I definitely agree that upon comparison with the Nokia N90, these two models fall on 2 different categories because of the difference in system OS and certain smaller issues in technical specifications.

A speculation in my analysis would see a price difference of approximately 300-400 SGD difference.

Firstly, I'll tap on exclusivity. The motorola 1150 would fall on a typical 3G phone category with dual camera support, multimedia etc. which could be basically be on par with the Nokia 6680.
On the other hand, N90 falls on a whole new range of branding which in this case is branded as the N series. It is similar in the case of the Vertu/Nokia 8000 Series where design and sophistication is the wow factor. In the case of N series and in this topic, the N90, it goes onto the exclusivity of technology. Branding plays a huge part by incorporating carl zeiss optics together with VHS video recording. I have trial viewed the video capabilities of the N90 on my lcd tv at home and yes, it sees a huge and remarkable difference in the quality as compared to the commonly implemented 3GPP standards.

Usability wise and techinically speaking, the N90 wins with it's whole new revamped UI and leading range of functions like EGPRS, an enhanced memory capacity, and it's signature external screen which can be said to be the largest in the market and to be able to view messages and other essential areas of the phone.

The availability of additional memory for the Mtr1150 is also limited as compared to the 1.8V Rs-mmc the N90 supports. Price also differs in this area.

And most importantly, the usability of N90's interface. Most of us are familiar with Nokia's famous UI and basically motorola's poor implementation of it's sms input.

Of course, the key factor, one's price budget. While the N90 is exclusive, it also commands a high price but at the same time, packed with a high array of multimedia enabled features.

A price difference of 400 SGD for a better UI experience, better image and video quality, higher speed capabilities, and screen functions would tempt not one but many.

Motorola and Nokia's products price depreciation varies as well. I will not elaborate further on this due to the rights of these companies which could deem my words as inappropriate slandering.

What I have mentioned above are some of the key concerns in my opinion that puts the N90 above other 3G capable phones, not just the Mtr1150 in the plus point area.

Hope my minature article is of help to you!
