Hi Kelv,

Do you think that N90 is worth buying for 1300 SGD? How about waiting for Motorola 1150? I guess it is going to be of the same price. I know that we cannot compare both the phones directly as the OS is different in both. But in general aspects like dimensions and weight and design, the latter one seems to be better. 1150 has also got 2 MP camera, but no autofocus. Let us know your thoughts.

It would most likely be in India end july or sometime August. I am corrosponding with Singapore Nokia Staff so I do not dare quote unrealistic dates.

I have the latest and final update on the price of the Nokia N90 which is due to be released in different countries within THIS week.

Price will be $1388 SGD exc GST.

This price is Nokia Shop's list price and so street shops will offer a lower price of approx 60-100 lesser.

Any enquires do post them and I will answer them accordingly as I am corresponding with Nokia contact staff regularly.

Nokia N90 would most likely have vibrate mode as compared to the test set 3 months ago.

Asia will get the phone first anytime this week. Malaysia has gotten it already.

          FINALLY!
N90 is coming for T-MOBILE USA!
( In 900/1800/1900 modes) Not UMTS for USA
( but we don't need UMTS in USA, since we don't have a 3g here yet).

Go to http://www.nokiausa.com , click on: expected soon phones , then click on Nokia n90, and sign up for a waiting list, to receive email as soon as the carrier of that phone will become known ( T-MOBILE guaranteed!-because the phone doesn't have 850 frequency, which is required for all GSM carriers in USA but not for T-Mobile)

Also the american version I'm pretty sure will be much cheaper than UMTS version provided by Communication Telecom for $845!
          GO NOKIA!
          GO T-MOBILE USA!

I will get it immediately once it launches in Singapore (I'm Singaporean) which could be anytime now as of 15th July.

I'm getting a little impatient over this phone's launch. =)

Some facts about 3G phones -

Dual support - 2.5G and 3G (Phone will detect available network and adapt accordingly)

3G capabilities - All 3G capable phones will have a universal connection speed of 384kbps

2.5G capabilities - 3G phones will switch to GPRS or EGPRS when WCDMA is not detectable.

                                To Joehanz,

It could be a mistake made by the editors from gsmarena.com in the case of N90 but it is put down as 284kpbs under data (EDGE) because in this case it is referred to as GRPS. EDGE and EGPRS are the same.

When WCDMA coverage is detected, the phone will automatically adapt to 384kbps bandwidth.

As for the video, the prototype definitely showed some laggy video footage but definitely NOT grainy. It was caused due to the internal software which would and have most likely been corrected. (Delay of the phone is due to camera technicalities). Quality of video is good even in full screen on my 12.1 inch laptop.

For everyone here intending to get the phone, you can wait for my review once i get the phone on the first day of launch.

EDGE speed is mentioned there for the 2.5G Sim cards. When in a 3G network, the default speed is that of UMTS 386 Kbps.

                                      To Kelv.

I know bout the speed for EDGE and UMTS .. but my question before is why N90 data speed is 236.8 kbps? if that phone is in the coverage UMTS , it will run at 384kbps or 236.8kbps? if it is 384kbps, why in the spec. they stated 236.8 (EDGE)? why not just put Data speed 384kbps same as z800i SE?
