I hate Sony Ericsson fans who try to destroy Nokia's reputaion just because it is the largest mobile phone company. Somebody even said that the W800i is a better phone because their will be a 32GB memory stick duo available next year. I'm sorry but they are living in a dream world. Just like that guy who talks about the P1000. Whoah better watch out N90 the Sony Ericsson fans are launching their own phones. Phones that have unlimited sized memory cards and can even do the washing up. Come on guys wake up.

Well im in India waiting for the N90 its delayed to make the QUILTY more better so people cant compare anything at the moment Well its Due around 14th Sept for RS 30500 which is about 700 us $ I played with the prototype of N70 today because i know a person in Nokia and well the N70 really needs alot of work always Restarting the Cam seemed good but i didnt compare it N70 is heavy i think about 5 cm smaller than 6680 didnt test the front cam for N70 well i hope that N90 doesnt freaking restart like the N70 or N90 prototype buggy little things N90 had no Vibration but the N70 did in the prototype

You know what really makes me angry is that all nokia fans deals with nokia products as if it comes from heaven and it can't have a mistake
----> you are right.. actually nokia does have those problems encountered by other factory.. it just that the users often blinded by the brand name. Psychological effect. After all this is a very good reminder for all nokia and SE fan: NO BRANDS ARE PERFECT!! Choose watever you want that you think is the best.

I would like to say that I don't hate nokia, on the contrary I respect it as a very long known company world wide and FORMER leader and that's why it's always on the top positions because at least 1 of every 5 mobile holders used to have a previous model of nokia so lots are voting for it only for the previous reputaion.

I used to have nokia prior to having my t610.
the only reason y i change to t610 is because:
THATS THE BEST PHONE AVAILABLE IN AUSTRALIA IN JULY 2003. And none of the nokia phone avaliable at that time is better than that.
But now im looking for upgrade though.

You know what really makes me angry is that all nokia fans deals with nokia products as if it comes from heaven and it can't have a mistake. I usually meet some people that the technology wheel stops for them at nokia doors. When i 1st bought my se k700 - was my 2nd mobile after samsung n500 - lots of people when they saw it or knew i bought that model stared at me as if i'm an alien from outerspace and asked with very astonishment why didn't you buy a 6600 ?? as if the k700 is a toy in a shape of a mobile not a real mobile. That's really pisses me off all the time & all the way. You love nokia fine but hello haven't you heared ! there are other brands you could look at, other brands really excels themselves with very good products, rich in features with a new technology of their own instead of just copying themselves depending on the former popularity.

But from quite sometime now nokia didn't introduce any new technology they only replace a feature with another and change the cover and here it goes a new mobile and they make some propaganda around it while they are sure it'll be sold alot for people will go for the brand not for the product and that's why it'll stay no.1 only for the reputation not for the quality.

one more thing:
- I do not care whether the phone has a cheapy kinna look but as long as the quality can satisfy me i will get the phone. I am not the sort of person who want the most expensive and the best features.
Wat matters me is:
-decent camera, decent video, decent phone and decent mp3 players and SMALL. thats all.
i do not care whether it does not have EDGE or Wi-Fi or watever function it is. Somehow W800 meet some of these criteria, but havent meet the second criteria (video) and does not have an optical zoom.

who are you refering to? me? BTW its not brand that matters... i will buy nokia too if only they could satisfy my criteria for mobile phone. ITS THE QUALITY THAT MATTERS. i am a SE fan but i still have not find any of their mobile meet my criteria.
AND NONE OF THE NOKIA AND SONY ERICSSON phone can defeat samsung SCH-V770 with its 7 mega pixel phone and VGA video recording.
that's y.. only if one of them can produce such a phone then i might get one

Hello there!! This is a forum about Nokia N90 not SE! What are you doing here? But this is a life rule: We always fight number one, we forget number two and below!
You can see what I mean if you simply watch the site stats about "Brands interest" Nokia is ofcourse No1, SE is out of the top3!

one more thing... if u really considering how expensive a look of a mobile phone... you are too materialistic and full of proudness. You are the type of person who do not want ppl to talk that you own cheapy things like mobile phone, only look for exclusiveness. I tell you one thing, life is unpredictable... be prepared that one day you might become one of the poor.
You might say.. it is impossible. As a reminder, this is based on a true story.
Remember the economic crisis that happened in 1997? in Indonesia, there are so many rich ppl turns up to be a poor ppl in only A FEW DAYS. Only if you think that you are very lucky then you might not have these kind of experience... ^__^ have a lot of pray!!

LOLXXX hey.. ur comment even funnier than SE's fan's comment. Look, is that really really important to search contact with more than 1 letters? look.. even the first samsung's bluetooth phone is D500 and i dun see so many ppl complaining about it. C'mon dude it is just not a very big problems, and the fact that they already got it in K750 proves that SE has improved. U might think that SE is slow, but remember this, in early 2003, SE T610 already running with 65000 colors screen, at the same period of time even the best nokia phone only running with 4096 colors. In 2004 SE already selling S700 with 262.000 color display and 1,3 Mega pixel.. wat does nokia do? launching the 7260 with a really messy design (not me who got the word, i actually read a review about it i think in www.mobile-review.com and with crappy camera phone and still in 65000 color display). it is only now that finally they catch up with others with 262000 color display and 2 Mega pixel camera.

meeting, class, concerts, work---> u dont want to be embarassed because ur phone is ringing rite? do you? and you do not want to miss out somebody's missed call. Do not talk as if this function is not important at all. In fact, it is crucial. It is a pity that nokia miss this thing out.
BTW---> those who says that nokia N90 has a lot more function---> that's why it is a smartphone and not a normal phone. If it does not have such functions why would they call it a smartphone?
why W800 does not have function as rich as nokia? simple answer. IT IS ONLY A NORMAL PHONE AND NOT MEANT TO BE A SMARTPHONE.
Those 2 phones belong to different classes. So as a SE fan i say: THE BEST SMARTPHONE is either N90 or N91, but THE BEST PHONE is either W800 or K750.
And those who says that SE goin to release P1000.. pls pls pls... it is ony a RUMOUR. I never see official SE website talk about it even. Do not believe those who talk about rumour.. look... in the end of the 2003.. ppl talk the rumour about T650.. is that true? the fact is SE closed the T series which means that there is no more T series. The same goes for this one... better not to talk about things which is uncertain.

1st i'm not willing to bay 900$ for a mobile only differes from the rest in giving the chance to edit word, excell & powerpoint documents. If that makes me a poor guy then being poor is better for me from being dumb xxx.
As for the vibration I tell you man whatever the loudness of the speaker if you're in a crowded street and the device in your bocket you won't hear it or in the lecture you can't let it ring or in a meeting or in front of your boss, in most conditions you find yourself have to make it silent but being notified at the moment is a lot better than just being surprised from a missed call that maybe somehow important to take. I find vibrating somehow importatnt + at the 1st place that is not the primary case.
As for the k750 being the 1st to search with more than 1 word i used to have a k700 and it did the same, honestly i k700 was the 1st se phone to have so i'm not sure of the 1st mobile that se made to search with more than the 1st letter.
And man try the thing before saying something wrong makes you look bad in the eyes of the readers.

I love this Eriscon fan boys that can not stand that their belowed company's top model is by far worse that (by far) not the most sophisticated phone from Nokia.
So they come here and write those bollocks that N90 is a crap.
I would encourage you to go to THE doctor or to grow up.
You behave like a smaaaaaal child that start to criticisse things that are supperior and are not theirs (or they can not afford them - poor people should be not alllowed to write comments about N90)

*smart phone with symbian OS
*best screen in the market
*perfect way to deal with msgs and phonebook and call logs ...... symbian is the best in this no arguee
*supporting all kind of media files and i mean ALL OF THEM
*unlimited applications and features can be added with the smart OS like pdf reader office reader answer machine smart dictaphone and and and and.......etc
*looks expensive .... feels expensive and it is EXPENSIVE
for the W800
*nothing special at all as a phone !!!!
*we can mention the OS has limited msgs memory maybe !!!
*no edge
*but oh yeah IT HAS VIBRATION .... WOW thats important
camera wise :-
the pictures maybe be better in the W800 for now ( remember the 6630 camera and how enhanced it got from the first software and now ) ..... but still.... N90 takes much better macromood pics anddddddddddddd much much much better video recording !!!
so SE lovers can u please stick to ur forums and ur W800\K750 clones and dont dare to come here again plz ????

im from Portugal and i already have this phone! i dont understand why you compare N90 to SE W800 because N90 is the best indeed! the quality of photos and video is suberb, the w800 also has a good quality of image but not better! in functions, the N90 is excelente, mutch better than w800! w800 is for music fans...but is a good phone too!

For those whom are jocking with us to stop comparing the two high-end products n90 & se k750/w800 because they are of two different OS's.
I believe that different OS means different performance - speed & response time - and different supported applications. For our case n90 vs. se k750/w800 the n90 wins in the latter case as it supports wider range of applications for those who needs to edit word documents or any office documents - whom are already went for se p910 or nokia 9500 communicator as they are the mobiles that ment for these kind of people who needs these kind of applications - or they even go to buy a pda instead of a mobile, as for the first case - the speed case - se k750/w800 wins cause i heard from several owners of the n90 that it's slow - for such a very pricy product -. As for the basic features they are quite the same as there is no specific bluetooth or media player or java for the so called " symbian OS " but se k750/w800 can vibrate and has FM radio + the better cam.
So after finighing with all these but the factors of dimension, weight and price comparing with the built-in features, i guess the choice is very clear and very " fair ".
For those who said that this n90 is for top classy people and not for the cheapy kiddos of se, please do you listen to yourself ?! give us a break and upgrade your brain man !

hey.. i agree with you cayenes.. only dumbells who buy 8800.. i'r rather to get a new PC with a DVD burner and 2,5GHZ processor, flat screen 15 inch, good speaker and 40GB memory with the same price as 8800.
