Carol, 09 Feb 2023Well, at least here is where you are right, lumias were all... moreI think a lot of people don't personally like a lot of Chinese brands

reverse engineering and copies so on is all they know
The one thing the Chinese brands have gotten dead on is CPU ram hardware specs do matter it's very important too most people

This is why they dominance the market
It's because they have the best hardware available at the best price

Unfortunately blootware riddon
Xiaomi Redmi Poco do sell better than they should
but people don't seem too understand that there not even the best value for money out there and there's some concerns about the reliability of there smartphones as 200w changing I can't see being healthy for battery life in long-term
Also Xiaomi phone don't perform well because of poor quality cooling system

Often best just use the phone filter pick hardware specs like 8gb ram u want and lower the price till only one phone left

Doing a little research on the winner just check for any fatel flows exist before buying

Given any smartphone today needs android too be
functional for compatibility with Android apps

All a phone is in the end of the day is the soc ram storage with a touch display on it

Hardware ages very fast also so a flagship will become a affordable budget phone in 8 years

This is the best method get a good phone I know optimisation matters but good optimisation shouldnt be used as a excuse for bad hardware

Some people will have favourites and pay a price premium for it
but a lot of people just need a phone thats smooth on a very tight budget Only Chinese opinion exist that do this

Carol, 09 Feb 2023Well, at least here is where you are right, lumias were all... moreI was saying I prefer the build & design of a Nokia Lumia
I hadn't ever used a Nokia Lumia phone
but it can't possibly have the same lag android has too it in the ul

I only used android phone so there all I know
Basically stuck with Android and Android apps

Low end hardware 2gb ram never runs smoothly but still it shouldn't be this bad

Just being able run a browser or make phone calls or text or use a app why does simple tasks need such strong hardware specs

Android is generally glowing into a ram system resources hogging monster that brings good hardware too it's knees

Every new Android versions getting heavily and more hungry system resources hogging just sit idle

There's so much very wrong with Android optimisation especially with the new Android versions Google is releasing

Angry Nokia fans returning their X30 phones because of hissing sound coming from it's speaker.

Performance was mostly because of an light weight OS that was well done and nokia ingeniering. Nice Times those where ram and cpu importance came out below innovation, performance, features, camera and design.
Now i realise how chinese brands, knowing nothing but, reverse engineering and copy paste, really washed out peoples minds to think that nothing matters as long as cpu and ram are there....

swaraj, 07 Feb 2023Waterproofing costs a lot of money . So does paying R&D... moreI don't personally own a umidigi
Am not a fan of hole punch or notched screen

I have a Nokia 3.1 myself that I got on sale new for just £50 half a year ago

The umidigi bison I mentioned does have a better ip rating then the Nokia ip rating water proofing
It's also ment too be durable also

I actually recommend them too family members as I find bargain on phones for them

I only have hands on experience with umidigi a9 pro
8gb ram version from a few years ago

It only cost £135 yet the build quality of the phone is excellent still runs smooth today battery life still good
            As well

It's the too good to be true phone that actually real and it's lasted and survivaed for years as well it's been so reliable
            It's something else

It's really just what phone modal can be found at what price point

Your phone probably has some cheap camera sensor(this one has same sensor as galaxy s22) , low endurance battery , cheap ips . If you add all the costs x30 pricing makes sense

The Nubia I mentioned could be used with water proof rugged case and screen protector

If we limited too rugged phone
A more apples too apples compassion in it's own class

UMIDIGI Bison GT 2 5G beats the Nokia x30 in nearly every way even is a stock android as well
Yes Nokia got stock android competition

This matches being rugged and benchmarks slightly better than the Nokia on benchmarks and has 8gb ram

This is only a £240 phone hints Nokia overpriced for what it is

Only advantage the Nokia x30 has over it is oled screen but reading the comments some people actually prefer IPS screen because oled hurts there eyes for some reason

But I guess making recycle... moreThe fact that now Samsung as the largest android based manufacturer adopts more recycled materials in its flagship series, means it's something that it does live in the community, and something that manufactures want to show to their customers and future customers. Fairphone is all about environmentally friendly manufacturing and source winning, and that's their main USP, Nokia adopted recycled materials in various ways and now Samsung is next. I hope more manufactures will follow. I'm hard headed that Chinese OEMs will follow but one can hope.

I know features of this phone are contested, but let's appreciate the fact that (processor-wise) this is the closest phone in terms of performance to the only flagship they had in the last 4 years, the Nokia 9

Anyway, it is quite clear that you do not understand recycling, how it works and how much it means for enviroment while loosing absolutly nothing in propertis, especially when we talk, smartphones. It is not like they melt the same peace of plastic 100 times before they make the phones, so that the quality degrades to a point of no quality.
Also plastic is made out of petrol combined with a lot o other very unfriendly chimicals, so yeah, is better when they use it more then once and for different things, depending on need and quality, instead of creating new and new again. Sorry but you really have no idea what you're talking about, and you need to learn and understand recycling.

That means nothing, also does not mean that nokias are made with the last quality aluminium that can't be recycled anymore.
