PS thanks for the info :)

To get mp3's and movies onto you phone you need a minisd reader, this has been discussed in a number of threads and found it rather annoying considering they supplied a usb cable and software was very suprised it couldnt directly copy mp3's through that, but hey 8.99 for a reader so all's not lost.

Hi Simon, thanks for your interest :D

Will quote your message in parts...

                    "Hi everyone,

ive been reading comments on this o2x3 thread since sept (when i bought my o2x3) and just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the updates with whats going on. My phone grew faults after about a month of using it, but i wasnt going to send it off to get fixed until there was a steady firmware release that those problems i experienced were fixed.... less hassle the better was my thinking.

                    the problems i had were:

                    1) after a month i couldnt send an MMS from the handset though i could receive one."

I think that is a problem with the SIM cards given with the handsets, as I am using my original online sim and its working fine, and i've had it since xmas...

"2) i could only receive 160 characters maximum from anyone who sent a text to me on this handset. The middle part of the message would be deleted :/"

Thats a problem I have, but I dont usually receive long texts so its not really a problem for me.

"are these well and truly fixed now?"

o2 can sort out many problems, if you write them down on a bit of paper when you send off your handset... take proof of purchase with your phone to an o2 shop and they will send it off

"many thanks if anyone can elaborate on this"

                    no problem :D"

John, with regards to your post:

"Phone is fine, so much better than my v600, if you want to see slow software try that - this fly's compaired."

Software wise its about the same speed as the T610, which I had previous, so i'm happy :)

"Camera I wasn't overly impressed with, suprised really because everyone else gets a phone and it appears sharper and works better in dark, then again my v600 was exactly the same oh well."

As I said I upgraded from a T610... the camera rocks in this :)

"My only real grumble so far is the power supply, wheover invented it needs to be show what a uk socket looks like and then have it jammed up his bum for designing something thats wider than a normal plug socket! Have to unplug something to get the damn thing in.
                    Otherwise I'm happy"

I stick it on the far end of a 4 way extension socket... :)

"Question: What's the biggest MiniSD this will take?"

                    512mb I presume...

"Btw talking about MiniSD readers, I bought a standard minisd reader for £8.99 no combo units or adaptor required if anyone is intrested i will dig out the info on it."

                    Nice Info :)

I have 256mb and it seems OK with that, although it should go up to whatever the maximum miniSD available is (512mb i think).

Has anyone else got trouble charging this phone? when it arrived I charged it for 12 hours and it lasted a week, i charged it for 10 hours and it lasted a day, now I have to leave it on charge over night every night?!

I can understand what you lot are saying, but you must be patient with the phone, and please type properly! Email me if you want the Crazy Frog, as i have it as a mp3 file. The camera quality shouldn't be bad, and the headphones, I suspect broke through a fault of your own as none of the headphones are faulty. You must have a seriously fucked handset, as no-one on here has had problems like that...

Andy, re: infrared "don't work" it does. As with most phones, they don't contain the IR module that send's stuff, so its not "broken" because it can't send!

Nathan, from this post, I can see why you chose "nathanismental" as your AOL name... :D

"hey all i had my o2 x3 for a while now and i think it is *absoloutly* shit since iv*E* had it it kept turning itself off so i sent it off*.* *A*fter *finnaly* *gettinhg* it *bak* o2 fixed the problem but now my *camera's quality is shit and it keeps crashing *also my *headfones* that came with it are also broke through no fault of my own and so i cant listen to mp3's through them *n* to be honest i cant be botherd sending it *bak* but if i do *iam* going to go mad with them its not fair its obviously faulty why cant they jus replace it."

So, the number of recent purchasers of the phone all think its "obviously faulty"? No, didn't think so...

I have the o2 x3 and believe me its not that great the infrared doesnt work , people can send you stuff BUT u cant send them stuff. PLUS it freezes alot, ringtones r not bad quality but they are nothing great, apart from all of that its ok.
