I found the handset looked gorgeous, and the pictures were great, but was put off by the fact that the software was slow and poorly thought out. That I couldn't programme the buttons in anyway. That it took so many buttons just to make a call from the contacts list or even text. That the Itap text was horrbile. The inside looks no where near as good as the outside........ otherwise a great phone, lol. Sent mine back. Hoping to get a samsung D500 instead any suggestions ?

hey all i had my o2 x3 for a while now and i think it is absoloutly shit since iv had it it kept turning itself off so i sent it off after finnaly gettinhg it bak o2 fixed the problem but now my camera's quality is shit and it keeps crashing also my headfones that came with it are also broke through no fault of my own and so i cant listen to mp3's through them n to be honest i cant be botherd sending it bak but if i do iam going to go mad with them its not fair its obviously faulty why cant they jus replace it.

Ripping is the process of extracting something (in this case the audio) from something else (the video). follow the instructions from here http://forums.vnunet.com/thread.jsp?forum=13&thread=48494&message=292389

Kelly - to be honest I don'y really know the 'proper' way to get the crazy frog on your fone, but what I would do is download the video from the website, rip the audio and stick it on your memory card (not sure how legal that is but hey, the video is a free download...) you could also convert the video into .3gp format and have that on your fone as well

i bought o2 x3 yesterday 07/02/2005 £179.99 from o2 shop. + san disk 64mb mem card + adapter (from argos £19.99) i got charged for the game i downloaded (worms £2.50) after being told in shop and by o2 customer care that i wouldnt get charged lieing bastards eanyway i tried to play game phone seriously fucks up got to remove the battery switch back on. so i contacted o2 cunts cost me £3-4 pound a call only to be told my handsets faulty take it back for a replacment fuck the things less than 1 day old seriously if you want decant cheap phone buy nokia 7600 or nokia 7610 my nokia 7600 isnt that far behind the o2 x3 iv had nokia 7600 for nearly a year (on 3 pay) unlocked myself and never had problem with it. if you want free wallpapers thousands of them visit http://tagtag.com

can we use the phone on charge,this is one of those questions that people ask about every phone .the last one ihad was nickel metal hydride this is lithium ion+why do they not put the better lithium polymer in these phones that use obviously a bigger current drain.my x3 is ok touch wood but iuse it a lot & it would be better whilst near a mains supply to use that cheers

Allan, its up to you. O2 have updated the software on the x3's and all are rolling out with 1.22 over 1.08. I am still running the latter and have no problems.

Thanks a lot. I thought it was kind of bizarre that it would do pictures but not video. Nevermind. You can transfer video if you save it to the phone memory but you obviously can't make higher res movies this way.
One more question:
This claims to act as a card reader as well as mp3 player.. will it do the trick you reckon?
Or I might just get a larger SD card that comes with an adapter and use the phone's mp3 player. Choices!
