[deleted post]In that case, the Ultra would look really bad against the Galaxy Note 3.

The battery efficiency is staggeringly great, with an initial 18 hours of heavy usage a day for the first month. With the Note 3, battery stamina has been slightly improved. Even more efficient with its replaceable battery, getting a full 100% power restore in less than a minute after changing. The spent batteries are charged at home with a desktop charger. Much better than plugging in. No risk of theft or being forgotten. No need to carry chargers or power banks. Just that flat spare battery.

All I'm doing is explaining why I got one and why I, personally, prefer it. What is it about the phone that makes you so keen to jump on anyone who prefers it? Someone points out that a different phone does something better than yours and you think its,.. what? A personal attack on you?
Get a life, dude. Seriously.

In my opinion once the S4 (I'm a user) get's the 4.3 update (What the Note 3 has) it will be the most balanced offering of a flagship:
1) LG G2 is great but dual screen multitasking is better, and so is the replaceble battery and sd slot. 2) S4 is compact relatively to the Note 3, an average customer might take that over an S pen.
3)The Z1 has IP58 protection and great camera, but it's also a great deivce in terms of size. No spare battery and worse loudspeaker.
4)I don't think that today you can really see the day to day difference, between Snapdragon 600/800 and so on. Only in 3d games. Optimized software is smooth software, so that's what it's all about.
Feel free to disagree

TheNeighbor, 19 Oct 2013Less features is more for you. Why, exactly, do I need gimmicky features? I have ISO control, white balance control, exposure control, metering control, focus controls and a number of automatic modes that fix exposure and such quite nicely for different scenes. Silly smile shutters and pointless nonsense? Not for me.
I want good photo's, properly exposed with good depth of field and great detail. The Z1 delivers all of this in spades, as you'll note from the link I posted (my own work).
There are no ifs or buts: the camera on the Z1 is the best Android snapper. Period. And that's what I was looking for.
So yes, I'm happy. Odd that you're so insecure about it.

TheNeighbor, 19 Oct 2013AMOLED screen hurting your eyes?! You can tone it down.
... moreSo it came last on two lesser-used minor features but was mainly consistent on all other levels, with daylight photography (what, 70-90% of phone camera usage?) being significantly better than both?
It is worth noting that the low-light stills were noisy because they were taken on Superior Auto which, until the other day, hitched ISO too high. If pictures are taken on Manual, the phone selects a better ISO and that noise disappears - producing, I guarantee you, much better results than the other two cameras on test.
For example. http://www.flickr.com/photos/16762205@N04/sets/72157635983420745/
Tell me again, which is the better camera phone?
Case. Rested.

AnonD-186803, 19 Oct 2013What he said (below).
My priorities are different from y... moreAMOLED screen hurting your eyes?! You can tone it down.
The Z1's camera didn't come out totally on top of the 3 devices.
"The Xperia Z1 has the biggest sensor and highest megapixel count, but its camera app is rather low on features."
"The Sony Xperia Z1 video recording capabilities max out at 1080p@30fps, which is rather low in this kind of company."
Z1 came LAST on the HDR test.
Z1 came 2nd on the low light and flash on camera stills.
Z1 came LAST on the panoramic shooting.
Z1 cane 2nd on video good lighting recording.
The only thing Z1 was top were daylight stills and low light video taking.
