I would like to thank GSM Arena for a great review.
My own opinion is: i'm amaezed that some people write this model is bad and the other is better.
All 3 models are simply GREAT
now how to choose, also very simple:
Sony: if your priority is water resistance and camera
Samsung: if your priority is phablet with stylus
LG: if your priority is disply and battery
OR: best way to choose is the price
In my country LG around 600 USD
Samsung and Sony around 700 USD
OR: wait for LG Flex and Samsung Curve!:)

I've been saying this since the beginning when z1 reviewed by cnet. It has lousy battery life compared to their competitors with smaller battery capacity including htc one or Galaxy s4. Stamina mode is almost like airplane mode and no one wants to turn that on the whole day. Poor optimisation even on their cameras. No doubt they have great hardware but still lacking in many areas. Software update will solve it? Sorry they lack of experience in those areas.

First off...Stamina mode like said is like energy saver mode and mostly saves in stand by time. It definitely does not add twice the time...Especially if you are actually using it.
They got another review unit and lot of units they get are review units. And at this time all where as updated as possible. The update did not come out til after the the shootout...And unlike what all you whining fanboys keep saying....but this update that or this update that....Blah blah....Sony is not the only company that can update their devices and improve performance....And it's not LG or Samsung's fault that Z1 drastically needs a software update more than the others in some areas. But the update supposedly brought good updates to the camera.
Yes underwater function is awesome. They should do a water proof shoot out from devices like the Z, Z ultra, Z1, and Active.
Playstation mobile is cool, but like said not for everyone.
Sound and shot is still and yes not every phone can see it. Not every phone can have top hardware, good camera, well optimized software, this feature, that feature, camera flash, or like Z serious water proof or playstation mobile either.
Sorry you are b.u.t hurt Jealous over Samsung's success here, but it was not because of being biased. Samsung has clear advantages. Samsung is an advanced chip and display producer with massive manufacturing process and money. They have done well and making what can be considered best all in ones for a long time now. Like Omnia HD of it's time.
No. You are just jealous and too much an obvious Sony fanboy fanatic troll. This long comment of yours shows this above and beyond. Samsung again just had many clear advantages. And they did not omit anything. Al though not mentioning it's water proof feature sucks a little. However these reviews have a guide line that's always the same. It's the same features and reviews every other phone gets.
Again.....The update came after the review. Are they supposed to redo the entire review just because Sony release an update so all it's fans can be happy???....And software updates are not some magical and mystical Sony only thing. Quit whining about it.
No reviews for Sony? Really? Where do you come up with all this crap? There are less...For one thing Sony is not releasing as many phones. So that means less reviews. Samsung makes more phones and is generally more advanced in some way. And everyone is greatly impressed with the One's design....They do reviews on many brands and devices.
Blah blah blah....Again and again and again and again....over an over...Every Sony fan keeps whining and whining and whining but it has an update or its gonna get an update...WE KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry it needs updates to match others.

I don't wanna sound biased at all, but considering that the LG G2 isn't actually a phablet, it still has raw power to compete with the Note 3 and the Z1 which are both phablets. I like the design of the Z1 most, though. Samsung just seems to have fashion problems.

[deleted post]I got Z and Z Ultra previously, that Stamina Mode is not a efficient as you though.
It do getting better standby mode, but a phone is not design for standby only. When on screen, the SOT is pretty bad compare with others phone. Others phone without stamina mode or any mode that disconnect all data connection can perform better than any Sony phone with it, don't you think Sony is efficient on battery control?
Those special features by Sony camera is the worst I ever seen, how many times you use that stupid social live thing, again'ts worst that useless Dinosaur effect, it is create for kids. Also that always fail to recognize Info eye. Really nothing extra added in Z1 camera is impressive. It is gimmicks to the end.
Music Unlimited is useless for most country.
Playstation mobile certfication is only useful for Playstation users, this is not a common useful feature.
The new firmware by Sony said improve photo output quality is not really huge improvement, I had seen many people compare it, Sony just apply even strong noise filtering and remove more details, I don't see this is improvement.
GSMArena nothing biases, this is the most fair review I ever seen.

It does not waste energy while you are not looking at an app even if the screen is on. This reduces data and processor resource consumption, which makes the feature much more effective.

[deleted post]Stamina mode is just like Auto Airplane Mode app combined with a Greenify like app, turning off radios and hibernating apps when the screen is off. Stamina mode just saves battery consumption when you don't use the device, not when you have your screen on.
I use these 2 apps on my tablet. My battery only drops to 1% over a 6-hour stretch. It's only a root and software modification. Lots of Xperia Z users are doing it to counter the bad battery life during use.
Sony doesn't seem to be good at battery optimization while the screen is on. Clean designs, but I want to see them perform heavily with 6 hours of screen time on, on an 18 hour stretch on a charge. That would be truly be impressive like a Galaxy Note II. The Galaxy Note 3 is even more impressive.

Ok one looks like a plastic mess with a weird cheap carbonish fibre effect on it and the other looks like an old leather briefcase. The only one that has any style or class is the Z1.
So go for your old man leather tablone ( not phablet) or the cheap and nasty looking LG. I will keep to the style and class of the Sony.

I got a friend who just bought LGG2. He says the GPS is not working. Were using the same network, but my GPS is working while his is not. Upon googling for a solution to the problem we found out that the problem is also experienced by more individuals.
