the 13mp with o.i.s. camera was truly excellent...
the true to life fhd ips display is excellent.

There is nothin... moreThose features in LG G2 or Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is extra added and more useful compare with Sony Xperia Z1.
As for manual features mention by that user, all 3 phones is capable as well.
Note 3 can manual control on Metering, White Balance, Exposure Value, ISO and etc.
LG G2 also provide similar manual control on focus, brightness, ISO, and white balance.
By the way, LG and Samsung can proper control in Auto Mode than Sony, this is true as I use 2 Sony phone previously - Z and Z Ultra, I know it damn well. I don't own Z1 but I had personally test it, as usual Auto Mode by Sony in low light condition still weaker than others. Sony love to over pushing up ISO which make the photos just over noise than it suppose.

Others wise you can use Movie mode for accuracy in colors (this is well prove by a lot professional display review site, include DisplayMate), or even the professional photo for Adobe RGB color, Adobe RGB color is more warmer than actual by default. If you still prefer crazy over saturation color, the Dynamic option is still there. By mean time, Samsung even added in manual color adjustment mode under accessibility if you find all color not suite your need.
Did you get those options in Sony? The answer is NO.
Also always remember AMOLED when proper tune, will display much accurate color due to it bigger color gamut than LCD.

There is nothing wrong with the Z1 in that matter. It just could use some more features and needs a software overhaul....Which the recent update supposedly already took a step towards...there is no need for those kind of comments.

AnonD-1544, 21 Oct 2013The winner in my professional view is Xperia Z1. Here are m... more1) Actually the Z1 looks ordinary with its massive bezels especially on the ends. If the Z1 had G2 or even GN3 bezels I would agree.
2) maybe you should read the reviews again, while the Z1 was the best under some conditions it wasn't under others and the GN2 had a lot more features and better video (except at night)
3) In relation to build quality you should check GSMarenas Z1 drop test... the Z1 wouldn't even turn on.
4) Dust and water resistant... agreed.
5) I'll disagree on the os as android allows for launchers, icon packs etc and its all personal preference. Personally flat icons are getting really old.

AnonD-1544, 21 Oct 2013The winner in my professional view is Xperia Z1. Here are m... moreI understand personal preerence....But preference is not what you just did there.
-Best looking is all preference. And Just being glass does not mean it looks the best to everyone. Especially the usual large brick design.
-It's best at stills, but lacks a lot in software tuning. And the Note is best complete best in video. So untrue statement
-Preference of material used is not the same as build quality at all. That's trolling. The Note3 and G2 have premium high quality build quality too.
-Obviously water resistance is a big plus
-UI again is all preference....And again. Very untrue, fanboy, contradictory statement. The Sony UI is the most eye candy. If any were cartoon it would be the flashy one. So saying the plain one is cartoon and the flashy one clean does not make sense. And just because the other ones offer more function does not mean they are not clean and polished. Just means they are more capable.
That's like saying IOS is cleaner than Android just because it's simple. Where as even Android is just as clean and fresh...Just offers more function. In fact the argument even goes that Android has a more organized and direct/logical menu system.
And Note3 hard to recommend because some people supposedly complain about multi touch???
Could your whole thing be even more biased???

Sony's UI is the more flashy one in the first place where as TocuhWiz...and LG's Touchqiz..I mean UI are more normal looking less flashy, but with more function and feature. Especially Samsung. Same as Sense. It's more eye candy, but a little less function.
It's a baffling contradiction.

And what was Samsung supposedly caught doing? making benchmarks squeeze the best that it could out of a benchmark.....Oh god what an awful company...i hate them now.
However they are aware of this already and use benchmarks that do not fully push the limits and the Note3 still bests most of the tests.

[deleted post]They all have the same hardware and screen resolution. So it's a fair debate. Why are you so jeally over what was used and who came out on top in most?
Even the S4 S600 would hold a pretty good top here let alone the S800 version. It still has the best display out of the comparison, good enough graphics and speed, still best in software and features, and about the same as Note3 in camera.
Never the less all are great devices.

It also is only a an 8MP cam...Which is not so bad really....But no camera flash is a total...WTF???????? But it is a awesome sounding device still. Water proof, s800, Triluminous.

Suggest everyone buy G2 or note 3 if you need a good battery life.
If you are a true Sony fan, Z1 is also great. If it has the ZL appearance, it would be better.

AnonD-198076, 20 Oct 2013You can say a lot of things about the iPhone but when it co... moreYour own personal preference of design and what material you like to touch is not the same as build quality.
You and millions of other trolls seem to keep blurring the idea of preference and build as one.
Phones like Nokia, Galaxy, and G2 which use strong durable premium plastic are built tough and have very strong build quality still. Tell me how strong that aluminum or all glass Iphone holds up when it shatters all over or gets massive scratches and dents please.
And just because you like the design of one device better does not mean the other ones are worse or ugly or any of the sort. just means it's not your preference.
And above all Samsung makes some of the most ergonomic devices. They are generally thinner despite larger removable batteries at generally higher capacities and fit and work in the hand better. It's how the phone works....not just how it looks alone.

The winner in my professional view is Xperia Z1. Here are my reasons:
-It's easily the best looking handset
-Best Camera department including video.
-Premium built quality.
-Dust n water resistant
-Best UI; elegant, simple and clear, not cartoonish UI
LG G2 truly did an outstanding job! In fact, this is the first smart phone from LG that I seriously considered.
Samsung note 3 is hard to recommend, especially with all the negative comments about multi touch issues, that made many people question the quality of the whole brand.

It's also overall drastically more practical and generally more durable than aluminum and better than all glass body of every phone with glass except the Z1....
However even though the Z1 has really strong shatter resistant glass that survives falls....The internals take large suffering.
