Nexus 6 vs. Galaxy Note 4: A game of Battleships

20 February 2015
Google and Samsung. The two pillars of Android are good at being partners, but their rivalry is even more exciting to watch. Especially when they pull out their best. The Nexus 6 and the Galaxy Note 4. The two want to be the defining Android device...

Those are old dirty tricks used by the iTrolls.
And you are also one of them.
Note 4 is still the best phone in the Planet. Nothing comes even close. Comparing Note 4 here with Nexus 6 is a pathetic joke.

And not forgetting that Note 4 is using a Sony camera, which is performing so much better on Note 4, than on the Sony phones.

I switched from my note2 to note 4 and I must say there's everything that is improved. Although apps still need to be optimized for the quad HD display, web surfing is amazing. I bought it unlocked so as much as I feel to use it naked, that metal frame and leather back.
I played with nexus 6 and the whole one handed operation utilities in the note 4 are amazing. And the stylus is still unbeatable.
Of course the dependability of Samsung which covers the basics with expandable memory and removable battery which is essential for someone like me which keeps the device for at least two years.
Future proofing is something I have been able to achieve with note 4.
And for the 64 gb version of nexus 6 is expensive that note here in India.

Just check the performance page again...their are 13 benchmarks , not 11...!
Out of which Note wins 6 & Nexus wins 6 , so it's almost has the same performance for both phones...!
Even though the TouchWiz is heavier than stock android , it still performs well...!
And my choice would be Note 4 , Note 4 has all the resources to make use of it's big screen , while Nexus 6 is just a grown up moto X...!
Note 4 has the latest generation of AMOLED screen while Nexus 6 uses older generation of AMOLED...!

I don't understand WHY should even be mentioned Nexus 6 in same article together with The King(note 4)?????
Of course Nexus 6 is light years behind Note 4 in everything. And I mean EVERYTHING!!!!battery, display, camera, look, functions, size, performance ....
I enjoy , though, how desperate is the apple's propaganda in the comment section, pretending that they are Android and even Note 4 users(old dirty trick). Could be few loud "pure Android" freaks too. ROTFL.
Helpless and pathetic basing , THE BEST PHONE IN THE WORLD, only makes them look like fools.

I would be interesting to know how many people comment about a particular cell phone model AND owns that model! I own a Note 4 and I'm extremely happy with it. I use the Next Launcher, a demanding launcher, and I don't care if there is 1 s delay or whatever. My life won't be ruined because of that.
Since a few years back, most phones are good enough for almost everybody. iPhone 4, 5 and 6, Galaxy S 4, 5 e now 6, Galaxy Note 2, 3 and 4, LG G2 and G3...and the list goes on...
It's really bad to see people fighting about other's opinions. From my point of view, the best phone is the one that makes you happy with it...

I brought a nexus 10 a couple of years back and was really disappointed. There are so many features and settings that are missing compared with Samsung and other manufacturers.

It is stunning fast after lollipop update. I honestly can't see where the UI usability could get faster on my N910c stock, with TouchWiz, non rooted.

Half of the people in here need to proof read their arguments, seriously. All the grammatical errors...... Moving on.

Not everyone cares about this "data". I have a note 4 as I'm writing this, and I'm also on my way to switch it for a nexus 6 after using playing around with my friends. Every person in here saying its only a millisecond difference in lag is full of it. Especially when you hit your recents bar and there is a full second to 3/4 second delay in response time. TouchWiz has gotten better, but is by no means great. Which is why most people switch from TouchWiz to Nova launcher or its like. But since you want to rectify your argument on time in milliseconds and base the note 4 as a winner because of its features over it milliseconds of lag, then you also have to factor in the availability of timely updates to the OS which makes more of a difference than your features. At least to some people, me included. All this data and with how close it is only says one thing, they are both great phones geared for two different crowds. There wasn't any overwhelming differences between the two in any category other than battery. All the people saying the note 4 blew it out the water should go and reconsider their technical expertise. All that technicality means nothing in real world use anyway, as I found in my side by side comparison of the phones.

That being said, there are many features you lose going from the note to the nexus. So if the features are important to you go for the note. If timely updates and less bloat is more important to you go for the nexus. They are both amazing phones. But all this fanboy commenting, my phone is better than yours, I'm 12 and like to bash other people because of their choice in merchandise crap needs to stop. Constructive comments are much better than reading your ignorance.

                                      Feature= samsung all day
Speed, Updates and pure android experience= nexus

P.S. I don't care what those scores say. Side by side the nexus outshines the note when it comes to speed. Which to me matters a lot more than a bunch of features that i rarely or never use.

But thats me. Your experience and desire may be different.
