It’s how the saying goes. And you know, it’s not about Apple and the iPhone at all. It’s where the industry has been heading for a while now. In the race for screen size and processing power, the major makers’ flagships are like pro athletes finishing within milliseconds of each other...

You've just showed it.

It's very HURTFUL FOR YOU, that your beloved i6s is INFERIOR to an "old" two years old phone from the main rival. It HURTS YOU BAD.
So let's see once again:

S4 advantages:
-WIRELESS CHARGING
-microsd card (if the phone craps, I don't want to give my files to the servicemen)
-removable battery
-13% bigger screen
-11% better battery endurance
-much better screen-to-body ratio
(these are main points for me when choosing a phone)

Till the 6th gen. of iphones, my S4's screen was 56% bigger :D!
Till the 6th gen. of iphones, my S4's camera was SUPERIOR. 62% more pixels, in real usage let's say that meant 20-30% better. Now it's on paar with it (except the 4k videos).

Iphone6S's advantage: faster chipset. But it doesn't mean anything (or only some marginal things) in USER EXPERIENCE (it only shows in games). /Remember: custom rom, and Nova launcher is the key for S4./

So to sum it up: in 5 halfgenerations (4s,5,5s,6,6s) Apple COULDN'T BEAT the S4.
6S is still INFERIOR. That's unbelievable!

For ordinary people it's all the same. They don't care, they buy a phone, and use it. And they are all really good. My theory is, that the first high-end phones are the S4, I4, and similar devices in the same year. After that they are all good for almost everything, they are usable, they won't fluster you, they are GOOD ENOUGH. Of course they are not perfect (yet). And there are minor differences between them.

BUT the devil lurks in the details. The phone geeks differentiate the devices, and they know what they are looking for. For me, the most significant factor is functionality!

For me.. it sounds ridiculous to spent that much of money just to buy a small device like iphone. If u bring it to the crowd, there is high possibility somebody will steal that device, plus.. you have to take care not to drop it (how do you feel if you drop a very expensive device, then it shatter ?), you can't just leave it on your desk because you'll afraid if somebody will steal that device, etc..
      Like you, i also don't understand why some people spend their money for a very overpriced device like iphone. Don't they have family to take care of? Don't they have to pay a house/apartment?
      maybe.. iphone is the most important thing in their live. They sleep with iphone, dating an iphone, marrying an iphone, work with iphone, etc.

            Not all new iPhone created equal. Engadget shows different battery results and CPU scores for different chipsets.

              I highly doubt that most of them are using : google catdboard or external monitor
              Maybe 1%....

              so, my question remains. why would you buy a 1000 euro device yearly? i don't count that you have to extra for cloud and so on...
              It's the same shit for Samsung. 1000 euro for their flagship.

              What kind of applications do you use very often excepting email, facebook, maybe navigation from time to time and same with the games?Why do you need "more"(it's not so much) power yearly so that it justify to pay a such price.

              1000 euro are good money anywhere on this planet. many people are working month(s) for it,

                    Then, if I don't place the phone on it just right, it doesn't charge. So, I've had times when I would leave my old Edge, now Note 5 on the plate, only to wake up to an almost discharged phone.

                    I personally prefer a good dock, but have not found a great one for the Note.

                        4k is very useful if:

                        1. U use it as a vr. like google catdboard.
                        2. U often connect it to external monitor.

                        other than above purposes, 4k is useless.

                          this will be my next phone.. best all-rounder phone for me..
                          beast performance: CPU, GPU and also storage speed..
                          camera on par with current flagships, and I like the color separation and less noise than other flagship.. improved selfie cam is also good..
                          great dimension, great for one handed use.. not too big, or too small..

                              yes, what the people are doing with their phones excepting talking on them, surfing on net? you can do that with S4 or Iphone 4 or with any other brand similar with these ones... you don't need 4 k video just to be cool. you won't even notice 4K because your eye can;t see any difference. :)

                              Someone must be VERY stupid, even mentally sick to buy a phone just because it has 4K video and because it's the lastest device.
                              The people are debating which one is better, Android or IOS.... We solved all our problems from our life and it remains this question "to be or not to be, Android or IOS". :)

                                And screen-to-body ratio is REALLY unbelievable. 65%???? Life starts above 70%. Why couldn't they put a 5.0 or 5.2 inch screen on that big surface? And Apple also doesn't really participate in the thin bezel game. Phonemakers should approximate LG G2 in this field. Almost 76%. It's amazing. S4: 72,3%, quite good.
                                Iphones were practically speaking nonexistent till the 6th generation with thier minuscule screen. A 5 inch phone has 56% more screen surface, than a 4 inch phone!!!

You clearly haven't used that tech yet. It SETS YOU FREE from the ENSLAVEMENT FROM CABLES. It's the hugest thing since the birth of smartphones! I can't formulate it more expressively for you. You don't have to use usb cables, you just put the phone down before sleep, and grab it in the morning. For a month I turned off battery displaying, 'cause I had the opportunity to totally forget about it, but once at a very heavy usage the phone went dead, so I turned it back, but during that month I WAS COMPLETELY FREE :D! Now almost free, because sometimes have to check the b. level.
                                  My charger pad can be set up on a tilted position, and I can conveniently use the phone during charging, though I very rarely do it.
                                  So Iphone is an outdated piece of crap, that ENSLAVES YOU to cables. Good luck with all that wallhugging and cable plugging.
                                  It's DEALBREAKER.
                                  (My S4 doesn't have dealbreakers, and that's the reasoning behind my statement, that it's a better phone then the I6s. For the record: the S6 is also crap with the absence of SD card, and rem. batt.)

                                  Adblock: I have the AdAway module, it works perfectly. It's android, you aren't constrained.

                                  Nanocoated waterproofing would be nice, though once my S4 got a ridiculous amount of water, and survived it.

                                  Amoled is nice.

                                  The big screen resolution is useless, 1080p is the real deal.

                                  3d touch is nice, but not life-altering, or crucial. Next droids will have it, but my pulse won't increase.

                                  The fastest chipset is nice, but it's ONLY important in games. Quite few people play heavily games on their pones. But these companies always swap places in the fastest chipset game. The former Iphone was dogshit compared to the last Samsung. Now the last Samsung is slower than the newest Iphone. S7 will be the fastest again. Don't you see the pattern? WHO CARES?
                                  Anyway, this is like changing your VGA cards in the pc. One has to be dumb, to always crave for the newest VGA.
                                  The other thing is: I can play really nice games with my S4!

                                  NO OIS in the smaller Iphones?????? Are you kidding me?
                                  If I bought a new phone now, this would be DEALBREAKER in itself!

                                  And Apple's restrictions are also funny.

                                    The level of bias here is overwhelming...
                                    As long Apple thinks she knows whats best for us, more than ourselves and still have those strict restrictiions applied, I will never bother with them.
                                    Its like wearing a pair of hungcufs and convince yr self its for yr own good...

                                      I don't know about anyone that i know about that play games on their smartphones much at all. They play some few games maybe 1-2 times every months.
