Apple iPhone 6s review: The more it changes…

1 October, 2015
It’s how the saying goes. And you know, it’s not about Apple and the iPhone at all. It’s where the industry has been heading for a while now. In the race for screen size and processing power, the major makers’ flagships are like pro athletes finishing within milliseconds of each other...

Typical sheep, no common sense whenever someone says something about Apple you don't like.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2015Your point as far as I can tell: the exynos hyperthreading ... moreYou just proved my point. The CPU that the Note 5 uses isn't about being fastest. It's about being fast and at the same time being power efficient. And not to mention that 8 (or 2x4) CPU-cores aren't as limited as a Dual-Core CPU is.

If you are going to take multitasking seriously, you can't live with 2 CPU-cores. There is a reason why the multitasking on iOS is a dumbed down version compared to the multitasking on Android.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2015keep arguing guys. at the end ANDROID remains the BEST...for you, at least.

It's pretty much pointless to argue which mobile OS is the best. A lot prefer Android, while many prefer iOS. Some people may say Android is the best because of its customisability and the freedom to tweak their devices, while others may say iOS is the best because it's fluid and simple. It's all subjective!

Live photo's I agree I don't use much and it might not be all that earth shattering, but 3D touch, you have no idea. It has already caused a revolution and it isn't even a month later. Your 2016 Flagships will incorporate it in some way and then you will not be singing the same song. Samsung got price cuts because they couldn't sell. They still can't ;) And yes the Samsung Galaxy S7 is supposed to be competition for the 6s. But a few months after the iPhone 7 will again put it to bed.

Dont put words in my mouth, I said it's target market is not those who have data challenges, and if you didnt have data challenges there is no "waiting" I stream all my media content, and since Apple music launched I stream loads and loads of tracks too, I dont miss the data because it's not a challenge to me, my speeds are crazy insane, hence no waiting, hence no hassle. If you do have data challenges, then guess what? Buy a larger size, or stop complaining and go get and Android that still uses memory cards! It's

question: why would need someone to change a phone yearly? just for facebook or email? Let's get real. I can check an email and give likes while I stay on toillet with a S4 mini or Iphone 5. :)
I don't need a shit 4k video while the human eye does not see any difference. :)
Ok, maybe there are FEW people who need extra "power" for an unknown reason but Iphone and Samsung are selling millions of units of their flagships yearly.

I think this is a mass madness. We are mentally sick otherwise why would someone pay +1000 euro for such devices ?

A9 is such a beast, really. It will push the graphics on mobile gaming even further. Heck, i bet there will be graphic preset on games in no time.
3D touch / Force touch / whatever they called it opens up to a whole new possibilities too. It reminded me to samsung's airview. But i guess if it being hardware based, chances on software developers made use of it is fairly high rather than being only software based.
Camera improvement seems not that significant despite of resolutions bump and 4k video recording.
And lastly, battery life is average, and i think that most i6s owners would use it heavily, recharging two to three times a day is not that convenient. Interesting to see i6s+ battery life test.
As an android user, these are my opinions about i6s. I don't see the need to bash ios or apple's products. Let's just wait for S7 or G5 if all that mattered most to you are those benchmark.

Play FIFA 16 UT on both phones... S6 edge offers much better experience...on top of QHD... The quality is just better on S6 edge...colors,graphics, resolution,sound...everything...

iPhones used to be better than any Android phone but this year no iPhone to date is better than s6 edge in all departments...worse this year my S6 edge is lighter that both new iPhones...6S = 143g and 6S plus S = 192g...Apple really...are you serious...3D touch...What a joke!!!...Lol

2 years back I admired the iPhone 5s...that was realy nice but this year... Lol...S6 edge rules...

Apple inspired websites spread lies about GeekBench 3 multi core results...the truth still stands no iPhone beats S6 or S6 edge in multi core tests...

iboys are gonna come with their single core argument...Lol

Battery life is worse than its predecessor then. Got a good chipset, but that's pretty much the only good thing. I wouldn't think live photos or 3d touch is anything more than a novelty to the average consumer, but guess the chipset is like that too.

I guess the main thing is having a phone with a bigger price tag. Its already getting silly when people compare it to the galaxy s6 which is almost half the price. S7 is possibly having an early release in Feb/march, that would be a more appropriate comparison and I don't think the iPhone will be able to match.

They are both great phone, but there is no question that the iPhone has a more elegant design. My Note 5 look clunky next to an iPhone.

I really like the camera of the Note 5 a lot, although the 6+ has a really great camera too. Most other reviews put the overall camera quality of the 6S+ and the latest Samsung flagships on par, and from what I've seen, I agree.

To each their own, but bashing the new iPhone is pointless and silly. Especially if you do not own one.
