Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 review: A hidden gem

06 October 2016
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has big shoes to fill - its predecessor became India's best selling phone online and enjoys great popularity in China. It comes barely half a year since the Note 3 went on sale, but it's not quite a direct replacement - instead both will live side by side, with the Note 4 as a more premium offering.

This is the kind of writing that sets this site apart from all the rest.

(Like camera, display, body, build quality,tax,OS/UI Updates and other features) Even Zenfone 3 with SD625 can beat Mi5 with SD820 on YourTechGuide YouTube channel.

There's tons and the chances are your country has one, if found there it's likely you have a market forum. Third party sites like ibuygou.com have "massive" mark ups.

Personally I have someone in China receive it and forward it to me. You can use the official Market app on your Android phone to make the purchase but will need a Chinese address. The Market app is updated with products more/faster than the Mainland China site.

Honestly, the only thing I learned from getting a redmi is that you are on your own when it comes to driver issues. Maybe mediatek is at fault, but my redmi note 2 still has issues with Bluetooth and the compass.

I'm currently looking at the Mi5/Mi5s and they seem to have a lively community and no major issues. Different price range entirely, of course.

@GSMArena: is a Mi5s review in the works?
