AnonD-523334, 02 Nov 2016Hi grandpa. Young generation don't care about ease of use b... moreYeah. LEARN IT THE HARD WAY.

Thats what kids always do.

Most kids got burnt by bad Android OS, and grow up disgruntled with android and moved to iOS. Listen to GRANDPA for once! He lived to a ripe old age for a reason!

Young generation don't care about ease of use because they can learn every operating system in 2 days. They care about useful functions and features and more features means more complex interface.

Turns out pixel xl would have been the best phone if it hadn't that Glass at its back.

The Huawei Mate 9 will dominate both of these devices come Nov 3rd. Thank god for more competition.

Not interested either of them. Both are ugly, featureless and bland. I have an iPhone 6S, the only thing I like about it is, that It will be paid off very soon so I can get rid of it along with getting rid of Verizon.

The video from the XL is pretty bad, oversharpened, oversaturated, and with a low Dynamic Range.

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2016Because you haven't tried Windows. xDUsing Instagram on Windows 10, it's full of bugs lacking in features. Not to say it can't be fix but with that many bugs people are actually happy that the app even launch on clicking it. Majority of their apps are somewhat lacking in something that the other 2 platform has that i don't understand why. For those who are happy, maybe ya just a normal users who make calls, SMS and surf the web. I dunno, but even the OS itself frustrate me.

VoloKin Project, 31 Oct 2016As an long term Android fanboy I must admit that the better... moreThis. Seriously. Instead of making an aggressively priced phone that is actually innovative and appealing, they made an assistant app and installed it on an iPhone. I've been an Android fanboy since Donut (1.6) and a Nexus owner since 2010. I was very excited about Pixel. This is the first Google phone I just can't bring myself to buy. I've started looking more seriously at other hardware. If it was priced at $600 or less for a 64GB model, I'd probably buy.

Anonymous, 01 Nov 2016Because you haven't tried Windows. xDI have no idea what windows you're using that is remotely close to android or iOS in temrs of quality...and quality control for that matter. Windows didn't even get a decent foothold until windows 10...original windows mobile was a travesty of bugs, crashes, lack of support, and bricked phones. Windows 8 Mobile was still quite the mess, of bugs, crashes, an unregulated app store where you had to PAY for apps that were free on both Android and iOS, as well as unchecked apps with viruses.

Now Windows 10 has fixed some bugs, however the app store is still very unregulated, and has the pay for apps that are normally free, as well as risky apps that aren't checked for viruses, meaning it is quite simple to infect your phone by accident. Windows desktop is the only decent windows, and that is simply due to compatibility and use-ability in comparison to Mac-OS and Linux.

As for the review, I am slightly surprised that LGs V20 didn't get in on this battle. As it resides in the same area as both these phones, would've lost on battery, yes. However LG pioneered many of the features both of these phones use now and the V20 isn't a slouch by any means (especially now that the Note 7 buried itself)

And no, the pixel has a better auto camera. And the interface is easy to use.

And stop with the talk of Windows, it's hard to take you seriously. XD

I mean the rest of the world get better specs, better designs, better cameras and more support (than Google phones) and we -in the West- have to contend with those ancient looking phones.

American phones companies remind of American car companies. Only Americans care about those phones, less and less do the rest care.

This is the least interesting comparison yet, I expect next year's to be even worse.
