Gsmarena: "but there's little it can do against motion blur. This is how long-exposure pretty much works, so this is not a criticism"
That's nonsense. The P20 doesn't take a long exposure, it's ghosting due to multi frame noise reduction. You don't get such horrible artifacts with a normal long exposure!!!! Furthermore Google proves that multi frame noise reduction is possible without noticeable ghosting!

My P20 does not overheat at all under GeekBench.
I Think it was a softer glitch that got solved.

I cannot explain how much these phones today bug me with rounded screen corners, just to follow the design of a phone. Don't do that! Don't make too rounded phones, also!!!

Very interesting, especially the camera part. From this and other reviews it seems that the P20 Pro has a very good camera...but actually the P20 too! The 40 MP main module doesn't seem to bring anything really - I've read somewhere that the night mode is very slightly better on the Pro but except that there's no difference. There remains the telephoto lens which provides more versatility, of course, but apparently from that if you buy a P20 for the camera quality only both are pretty much the same except the price.
I'm very curious to read about the Honor 10 and it's 24MP RGB + 16 MP BW camera! It's obviously different sensors than the P20 and I'm curious to see if it produces the same (or better?) results while being even less expensive.

I bought a P20 but i wouldn't say it's all that great... The camera is good and all but I dont really see what the fuss is about. Huaweis "Master AI" is rubbish, total unusable garbage .. luckily you can turn it off.. it's a nice build an dthe screen is pretty nice. Kirin 970 feels snappy but somehow I feel there very little new.. or different. Instead I feel P20 is overpriced - should have bought the P20 Pro instead , methinks-..

Kaloyan, 20 Apr 2018I've been using the Nokia 8 for a while as a second phone. ... moreI have exactly same problem with my Nokia 8 6/128. Working fast and accurate on ALL areas EXCEPT the camera!! The quality of the camera is deep down in the dirt! If Nokia (HMD Global) comes with an update very soon I will throw it away and buy myself a Google 2.

JackTheIPhoneKiller, 20 Apr 2018Sorry, my apologies. I really had to go back and read your ... moreI've been using the Nokia 8 for a while as a second phone. There are two major issues - the awfully slow and very inaccurate autofocus. That's it. It don't know what happened since the initial release, but those only got worse in time. I have a really hard time to shoot pictures in low-light and even in broad daylight - the focus fails quite often. If it weren't for those problems, I would have probably put the Nokia 8 in quite a few Competition chapters.
So, I really love the Nokia 8, but it pretty much disappoints me on a daily basis. :(

And yes, other reviewers really were very harsh on Nokia 8 fingerprint scanner. But not you.
My apologies again.
Still, what do u think about Nokia 8 against Huawei P20? Isn't it a pretty good option considering its one of the last (perhaps the last) flagship level phone with old 16:9 screen and all those goodies? Plus you would be saving at least 150 USD too.

JackTheIPhoneKiller, 19 Apr 2018One more review/article that goes on to show how unfair rev... moreI wrote the Nokia 8 review and there is not a single line criticizing the fingerprint scanner for its size. Same goes for the video review - nothing about the size. Obviously you are talking about other media, and we kind of don't care about that.
In our long-term review published a while back the reviewer talks about how you should be careful when setting it up because of the small size of the fingerprint scanner. But that's it. This is NOT a review, it's more of a personal observations after using the Nokia 8 for say six months.

One more review/article that goes on to show how unfair reviewers were last and this year to Nokia 8. I mean look at the tiny winy bit fingerprint sensor on both P20 and P20 Pro and even Mate 10, no one seems to be bothered by that at all. No one ever mentions that as a con. Whereas in case of Nokia 8, every YouTube video, every review criticized its fingerprint sensor for being too small and almost unusable. Seriously guys!? Are u really telling me this P20 Fingerprint sensor is any better?
Oh and don't get me even started on the lack of IR blaster (why P20 Pro has it and P20 doesn't is beyond me) and that omission of 3.5 mm headphone jack.... Really?
And u guys still it is a better buy than Nokia 8 if we take their prices into consideration??
Please correct me if I am wrong in any argument

Dxomark Topnotcher?, 18 Apr 2018So this is one of Dxomark's top phone cameras? Seriously? ... moreHonestly photos from P20/P20 Pro look miles better than those from XZ2... XZ2 has too much sharpening noise and dynamic range at night is a pure garbage. P20 series are surely applying too much noise reduction & sharpening but compared to a toprunner like S9 they look comparable for detail and noise level.

Rounded screen corners look nice if they're symmetrical - top and bottom. Only top with straight bottom looks wrong.

Huawei p20 pro is in Serbia,at authorized distributor, cheaper than the regular s9. In fact, the price is even slightly lower than the S8. So the price of a regular p20 is more than good for what it offers.
