Carol, 07 Jun 2018Nonsense again. Let me guess, you work their and you know e... moreLet me guess: you work for HMD, or most probably you wish to work for them and claim nonsense to defend obvious mistakes in the design and functionality.
I don't own this phone, but i had good look at it in the stores in my country. Nothing special. And yes - not only Nokia make inconvenient curved screens - Samsung made it too.
I'm a fan of good devices, no matter the brand owner.
Nokia Sirocco is just a mixture of design decisions that let the device to that point: good, but not good enough pOLED screen, good, but far from very good camera quality, good, but not enough phone deisgn.
At the end you receive good, but not enough device, for price around 650 Euro and SD835. For lower price in my country you can buy Galaxy S8, S8+, even S9, S9+ with Exynos chipset. And guess: every one of mentioned above phones have better screen, and better camera.
At the end - the consumer decide the faith of the device. In my country - Bulgaria, there is almost zero interest about this phone.

The sales of the phone are the biggest true for that device. And they are not great.
At least that fact means that is not nonsense.

1. Curve screen ... more1. Curved screen lead to accidental touch and not so good experience. Not to mention that with such camera hump you must not worry that the phone can slide from your hand. Will stop on it!
2. FPS can be placed on the bottom with such bezel. Look Huawei P20 Pro.
3. Your statistic is wrong. All people around me do not like the humps. You can't place it on the desk without phone to whopping. Uncomfortable to operate.
4. Camera? For medium quality at least they can save the hump. Galaxy S series make great photos and videos without it.
Nokia will be back when they release proper flagship phone. Nokia was never in the middle and low class only.
SD835 on that price? With that summarized functionality? Better take Galaxy S8 or even OnePlus 6 or Xiaomi or whatever... Better for less

Actually, you just sayingy:, no device is worthy of 700€ cause well, their are device way cheaper that do the same thing. True! True in tablets area, true in Computing/pc area, true in cars area. All do accomplish the same task. The problem is how! Some people are ok with one fiat punto for 10.000 €. Others are not. They want 150.000 euro bmw x7. Some are ok with a 100 euro tablet. Other want 400 to 1500 euro tablets. Some are ok with intel atom. I am not. I want intel icore 7 cause is just better. Stop trying to compare your phone with this one. It ain't gonna cut it. And your x4 has snapdragon 630 not 636.

Better scre... moreDear Carol, I believe that you are a person who tries to justify the price of 700 euros for a phone, the Nokia Scirocco, which my Moto X4 does all the same as that phone does, and spend that pile of money on a phone where My Moto X4 for 250 euros does all the same: What does it matter to me that the Snapdragon 835 runs 2 thousandths of a second more than the 636? Nothing, so do not try to justify the unjustifiable. With 64 GB of storage and 4 GB of RAM (I remind you that there is a version of the Moto X4 with 6 GB of RAM), the operation of the Moto X4 is fantastic. Oh, and I remind you that the Google Camera app can be installed on my Moto X4, so the photos are of excellent quality. You can continue talking to me about what you want, but I just spent 250 euros and I have EVERYTHING I want, and if you have to spend 750 euros in this Nokia it shows me that, or you care little about money, or you are very unintelligent.

My disappointment:

1. Curve screen adds gripp to your palm while holding to your phone.
2. Nokia is not ready to go for in display fingerprint scanner. At least their FPS position is good, not like you see on the XZ2 which is so low.
3. 8/10 people around the world won't care about camera hump including me. :)
4. Yes, Nokia 8 sirocco camera quality photo and video is not great, but..."AT LEAST THEY TRIED TO PUT IN THEIR EFFORT"!!!!
Conclusion: Nokia is really back, but needs to work on more improvement and satisfactory towards the customers/ buyers/ consumer.

Have been using this phone for 1 month now. Pretty happy with. It looks elegant probably the best looking phone right now. Premium build. Slightly heavy but it is so well balanced and is a delight to handle. N very compact.
The screen looks good straight on and that is how I use it 99.999% of times.
The battery is pretty decent. 5hrs sot. Used to get 2hrs on my previous phone Moto x style.
Performance is smooth. Don't know how much diff sd845 will make. Not much I guess
Low light photos could have been better
Headphones volume is a bit on the lower side. But quality of sound is good.
The inbuilt speakers are good. But Moto x style's were better.
The cell reception is very good. Even better than my previous Moto. Holds on to 3g and 4g better.
The best part is Android one with timely updates.
Overall I think it's a pretty good phone.

Hack, even the screen in the same model, some are more colorfull, some not, some are having some kind of tint, some are havin dull liight and soooo on. People have to be mad to just take this type of reviews in account. Anyway, what interests me is: can i see what i do? Not the others arround me? Is it good quality? Well, then is a good screen. If not, i'll take it back and try another one. Simple as that. As for the camera? Is not even close to that bad everybody exagerates here. Anyway, i do not care about what people say, cause i have more personality then the whole gsmarena put together. I also do not care about this device, cause i do not like it's back glass design and i already have nokia 8 which i just like better. But i really, really hate stupid comments and all ignorance that sorounds them.

This comment section is a mess people are just overreacting,
1. The phone is selling well below its initial launch price around 600 USD in most of the market.
2. Nokia has 7 plus for the best value segment, so sirocco was never meant to be value for money. It is for people who love aesthetics.
3. I don't really see the problem with the camera but it's not that worst, I am sure most of the people commenting against it won't be able to identify the difference in a photo comparison between pixel or 8 sirocco in a blind test.
4. SD835 or SD845 who cares, maybe you'll save few milliseconds here and there.

You have to first work with this ... moreWhile I don't deny that this phone is more powerful than the X4, it lacks many things that would justify the price. The display, lack of stereo speakers, no micro SD card slot, and an average camera don't exactly stack up to the galaxies and pixels and other phones that are around the sane price. This is a very hard phone to recommend.

You have to first work with this phone to instead of just pinpointing out of unprofessionals mouth. Snapdragon 835 is very capable and your moto has absolutly nothing against it. NOTHING. This device is two times more powerfull. And this chip was sold for way more then 700 when smaesung came out. Suddently, just cause is nokia, it ain't worth it, Suddently, the chip is bad? Get a life people.

My Moto X4 has everything this Nokia has although it has a little less power ... but in relation quality price is much better. For 250 euros you can buy the Moto X4. 750 euros is very expensive this Nokia. The Moto X4 is the best in mid-range quality / price. And the design of the Moto X4 Sterling Blue is much better than that of this Nokia, but from here to East Mongolia.

There is something seriously wrong with a headphone amplifier in this thing, even DAC implementation is clearly not that good as well.
