Announced less than a month ago and selling like hotcakes in its homeland, the Mi 8 is Xiaomi's latest top model. What happened to the Mi 7, you ask? Well, it's the company's 8-year anniversary, and it must be celebrated.

Small battery, no sd card slot, no ir blaster, no FM radio unlike its cheaper midrange offerings. It has become another run of the mill flagship with a clear motive for planned obsolescence in a year or two.

        Not very detailed review,i wait for global release review.can someone confirm about led notification light,is it multi colour or just white color like Last year Xiaomi phones.

            the truthfinder, 28 Jun 2018this mi8 is slower than oneplus6. camera quality is poorer... morewell mate ...... mi8 may be slower than one plus 6 as one plus is really good with their software (custom stock android ), but in terms of camera quality mi8 camera is superior to one plus 6 so plz before you comment u must check the device itself.....and on comment i had already mentioned from my point of view mi8 camera is better so plz u find the truth and get ur fact ri8

                        I hope GSMarena reviewer turned off MIUI optimization option in Developer options before running benchmarks.

                          One suggestion though can you please enable photo camparison tool on your mobile site as well, not everyone access this site on their computers, laptops, etc..

Planning to use my mix 2s for 2 years atleast. So far its worth the price. Cheapest snapdragon 845 phone you can get in Msia. The rear camera is very good too. While the front camera is pretty bad quality aside from the weird placement(not a problem for me just that the quality matter)

                            plus NO NOTCH

                            is my reason to get Mix2s over Mi8. A day after the announment of Mi8, I straight away purchase mix2s :)

                                  sadly,i don't like where xiaomi is going....is used to be great value for money,but seeing some basic things that defined xiaomi gone(like 4.000 mah battery, ir blaster, apearence of a notch) just doesn't feel right....also, as if it wasn't enough, i don't feel that the phone software is well optimized as well, given that the 3.400 battery has 86 hours endurance rating, seems kinda low.

                                        video only up to 30fps, but the oneplus6 can do 60fps at 4K
                                        everything else loses to oneplus6.
