The Once and Future King of mobile photography - the PureView camera - is back! The Nokia's champion has lived through the twilights of Symbian and Windows Phone, to be once again reborn in the peak of Android era. HMD's Nokia 9 is the bearer of the next-gen PureView snapper, and it's not one, but whole six of them!

I still don't why the hell everyone ditching HEADPHONE JACK.
I pray that SAMSUNG & LG should not to do this

Khaled6869, 06 Apr 2019120 Hz works with the Super AMOLED panels on the iPhone XS ... moreThat's touch sensitivity, the display itself isn't refreshing 120 times in actuality

I knew it. What is the size of those camera sensors?

Great phone can't wait to buy one.

camera of nokia is the best. my lumia 950 can slash mate 20 and p30

Many will get this for the display, not the camera
I mean, it's almost one point ahead of the previous best smartphone screen in outdoor visibility, which means this phone will be the least problematic to be used under direct sunlight, and that will be beneficial to people who constantly use their phones outside.

I love Nokia, but this phone is lacking.

First point, Why is it ok to have to edit each and every image with adobe light room to get acceptable images?? Why do I need a special phone to do that ? You can do that with any phone. I guess if you are a photographer, then you will have to edit each and every image you shoot anyway because you are naturally unhappy about the world that surrounds you .

The 4k video Quality Sucks .

Yes, they hinted it at in the review. But let me just mention that again

                    The 4k video Quality Sucks

It may have been acceptable 2 years ago, but not today. Why release a supposedly photographers dream phone that lacks quality video. Maybe they should have limited this phone to pictures only with no available video capture mode.

I've lots of different review saying Nokia phones have buggy software. How are hmd managing to mess that up? They're using android one so it should be as big free as possible

Now, if only they will put a 1 inch sensor in a phone, they will only need 1 lens.
Hang on a minute, Panasonic did it already 4 years ago!

A shame couldn't live up to expectations.... So it's doomed even before it's launch, . Let's face it HMD is still not there yet to compete with the big boys ....maybe in two or three years if they keep doing thing right

ZolaIII, 06 Apr 20191) Lumias with original pure view sensor ware not so fat wh... moreThe old lumias were small like XZ1, but much thicker and with much less battery.
No brand will make a phone near 2cm ( not counting that brick called Energizer with 18000 mAh) and few more milimeters of cam.

The cam module with smaller sensor like 1/3", 1/2.5" and 1/2.3" dont have more than 4 mm thickness. 1/1.2" would be double. Not counting the space it needs horizontally. 1/1.7" has 2x the size of 1/2.5" already.

Google Pixel had so far 1/2.3" then 1/2.55"... Not 1/2.9".

Samsung phones use 8bit 60Hz oled, same story for iphone.

There is no EIS for 4K60. This mode takes so much on the phone that the processing power does not have strength enough to provide the electronic stabilization. That is why few brands with SD845/855 do not offer.

OnePlus and Xiaomi use many cheaper components from local suppliers. Xiaomi makes more than 2 bi dollars/year with Miui adds. It helps with price.
Just the materials bill of s10+ is $430, while whole mi9 ready to be sold ( taxes, profits, distribution, R/D, work force etc) is $490.

Ppl still have the big dream that phones from Xiaomi, Honor and OnePlus cost the same as Samsung, Sony, Apple, Htc, Huawei (P, Mate) or LG to be made.

Crazy how the phone always shot at ISO6400 in low light. Even though it lacks OIS it shouldn't go as high ISO as that.
Plus it got 5 cameras to work with, if anything it should be able to shot at lower ISO.

Hope they consider to go back to large sensor size like the two original Pureviews. Clearly, multiple cameras solution didn't work quite well. They should've learn from Huawei P10 or Xperia XZ2 Premium.

The 1,5m value is determinated by international rules according to tests.

                                    IP67 is 1m + 30 min, IP68 is 1,5m + 30 min.
