Anonymous, 07 Apr 2019This phone NOKIA 9 is for people who know photography that ... morePhotography enthusiasts use DSLR cameras, not a ridiculous phone with tiny sensors that make you laugh and also crashing while taking photos ruining the shot. A flexible camera as a main one and then the most enthusiastic several ones with specific purposes. And prefer phones with different purpose cameras as telephoto, wide angle, etc, that don't crash runining the momment of a perfect shot that you lose a second later.

YUKI93, 07 Apr 2019I don't really care much about Apple on this occasion, sorr... moreMy friend do you know p30 pro has been tested by photography experts?? Do you know why it was given number one spot on DXO mark?? yeah i know you will rush to say dxo mark is paid. But i would rather listen to experts who have atually tested the device in different scenarios and have given their opinion, and then do you know why p30 pro is praised by many youtube reviewers?? Its because of the versatility of the camera, meaning its superior in most areas be it lowlight, ultrawide, macro, potrait, and that insane zoom! No other smartphone can do that at the moment.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2019nokia 9 has the best still image quality...I bet the raws from the p30 can give it a run for its money. And low light is far superior from p30.

12.4 stops of dynamic range is great for a phone.
But with 5 sensors and multiple shots it seems like not much. Not when phones with one 12mp sensor stacking like 3 images can get about 9 to 11 stops I think.
But that 9 looks good and is a monstrous step from the past decade. So 12 is still great and at least a start.
I agree a larger sensor to really live to the purview name would have been more desirable. But this is a good concept of they can continue optimizing it well.

Nokia made some mistakes with this phone, they were clearly struggling with the software which is still far from perfect. They should just went with one camera with huge sensor, so it would be great during all conditions and easier with a software. A lot of cameras maybe are marketable, but photos with auto mode are nothing special.

Anonymous, 07 Apr 2019All companies that use IP68 on their phones want camera beh... moreAs real black as it can be but same thing goes for micro lead where black is the same as on OLED (emitting diode off) same thing goes for number of layers so what can be put behind OLED can be put behind micro LED including cameras. Micro LED is expected to be much more power efficient on bright and white colours compared to OLED while equal to it with blacks and contras while not having ghost's problems and being able to last much longer. While Sony had a competitive advantage with Trilimus displays for years it didn't do anything to cash it in today you can buy the better TV from TCL with better panel & only half the price. Trilimus™ is a coating top layer same as Quantum Dot™ or what ever you like to call it. While I like Sony for other stuff like AOSP and full referent API's implemented all in all last cuple generations of their phones aren't competitive and they should really gave up on tight task packing per minimum amount of core's scheduler optimisation as it's depreciated long ago...

More like the epic fail of 2019. The single good thing is the display and it has it sense as someone must be really blind to buy this phone. But the display will help him with his blindness. I pity the customers who buy it and have to waste time editing their photos to make them look decent. How many days lost each year? Good luck with your patience.

Guys, the cam grabs light from 5 sensors to turn into data information. Of course it will take much longer compared to a single 12MP camera.
I remember to read that when XZ2 Premium activates dual cam it takes a bit longer compared to when it uses just the RGB.
I doubt any update will solve this. It is not only a lot of data to process but post processing has to merge all them.
Make a test with your phones and compare all resolutions they have. Photos taken with the lowest will be much faster.

I had this phone for a week now and I do not regret buying it.
Maybe photos are not the best ever made, but they still are incredibly good, detailed, balanced! And the software is not at all soooo slow. Even reasonably quick, at least for the quality of the photos.
I tried DSLR in the past, I had two of them, which I recently sold. If someone is not a professional photographer, I do not se the point in carying kilograms of gear any more.
The rest: best quality in conversation, very good screen, the audio DAC is quite a treat, sound through bluetooth on an audiophile grade system is unexpectidly good and spacious, battery lasts more than one day and everything runs softly.
I never was a Nokia fan in the past, this is my first.
Only complain: too slippery. A case is mandatory, but it spoils the beauty of the device.

Has Nokia / HMD said anything about updates? Had they given you any assurance?
Thank you.

GSMArena decided to use manually edited RAW images for Nokia 9 because otherwise you can't get a decent photo out of it. Not the fairest comparison I've seen, but P30 Pro is actually doing a very decent job here.

I don't really care much about Apple on this occasion, sorry about that. But that Huawei leaves a lot to be desired. That car park photo difference between the 9 and the P30 Pro is like day and night, especially when you pixel peep both photo and focus on that black Audi.
Sorry, Huawei. That painting-like photo quality is a big, fat NO-NO for me. If the untouched photo already looked that bad, chances are it wouldn't fair any better with post-process editing.

I can bear the time taken for the camera on a Nokia Lumia 1020 running on Windows 10 Mobile to work, so I can definitely do the same with this Android-powered Nokia.
