On the software side REDMagic was just bad. Well they finally promised updates for RM5G and RM3S (apparently slowed down because of corona). They already rolled out an update that improved face unlock, added battery options and couple more performance improvments. They also notifyed us that they are working with fingerprint reader manufacturer to improve that 1 too. So I am very hopeful and can't wait. Camera wise I personally wouldn't expect much from the software side. Maybe they customize the app better so you don't have to go in pro mode to access ultra wide but I don't think they will make much improvment to their software processing of pictures.

Look how LG V60 is giving great pics and video sporting the same sensor.
The IMX 686 is certainly capable of delivering good images.

HD and HDR playback needs to be tapped on from the provider side. The screen will need to have Widevine Level 1 support, and it will propably have it.
I'm not saying it's impossible in the future but already too few devices support HD from especially Netflix. Even Rog Phone 2 doesn't support HD (does support HDR but only in SD)

This phone is pretty huge (physically) right? Basically I'm interested in this phone because the NA version should be compatible with Tmobile's 5g (and it will probably work on most of the "New Tmobile" 5g bands they'll have this year. The only other phones currently available that can say the same is the v60 and the s20 lineup. Right now it's looking like this will be cheaper than both. The only drawback for me is the size. I'm only 5' 10" 180lbs, not a giant. I can't understand why the dang things have to keep getting bigger.
