I'd say quality is slightly below average. Oil painting effects and excessive oversharpening. Dynamic range isn't the best and foliage rendering is bad as review also mentioned. Strange though as noise is presented, one would think noise reduction wouldn't do such damage.

Hello guys at GSMArena. Please bring back frequency response tests for the 3.5mm jack in phones that have it. I did buy Moto G8 Plus after reading your review. Its audio output is indeed miles ahead of some of the flagships.

They didn't even use the GW2 sensor, the successor of GW1 which is present on S20 as a secondary camera. IMX 686 would have been a great replacement for the old GW1.

Android Authority say the cameras are poor, GSMA say they're mostly impressive. Who's right? Currently have a OnePlus 6 which I'm considering upgrading with camera performance being a priority, so this is important to me.

Honestly, if you're on a budget, unless you really need 5G now (who does?), it feels like you should either get last year flagships on the cheap or wait until the next generation which should be more mature (and maybe cheaper? once can hope).

Anonymous, 17 Apr 2020Lol gcam magic can't make GW1 compete with Xiaomi Mi 10 HMX... moreIt doesn't have to be on pair with top tier sensors, just needs to not suck horribly and be usable, which Gcam can certainly deliver.

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2020Too bad this phone isn't coming to the USA. It looks amazin... moreIf you have T-Mobile, the 5G mid band will work. And that is arguably the best 5G band available, since you don't have to be in direct sight of the tower to use it, and it will provide faster speeds than 4G.
The global variant is actually perfect for a T-Mobile user to get. The only concern is updates and/or development for the phone, which appears to be lacking. I'm not sure how well RealMe updates their phones!

ctqwaa, 17 Apr 2020Nothing Gcam magic couldn't fix. Lol gcam magic can't make GW1 compete with Xiaomi Mi 10 HMX (1/1.33" Sensor) which also has gcam BTW.

123, 16 Apr 2020I am after LG V60 or Xperia 1 II, they kept the 3.5mm jack.... moreNot all 3.5's are created equal though. V60 and Sony are probably quite good, but most budget-oriented devices have trash-tier sound quality to the point where you wish they would just save some space and remove the jack. It's fine for like $10 headset, but if you're that kind of person you might as well just go cheap wireless. For any serious music listening budget 3.5's are unusable.

Now I'm just waiting for the price of X50Pro in the Netherlands to see if the phone will be in my price range (I refuse to pay more than 500-550E for a phone, to be honest; but still want as many "flagship" specs as possible (hopefully the "flagship Killer" moniker is not a dying breed...) as I intend to keep the phone for at least 2-3y;

They removed IP68 and wireless charging? No Realme phones had it if I remember correctly.
There is 65W wired charging via a "reversible" USB C cable and yet people still need wireless charging, Woah...
