LG V60 ThinQ 5G review

While we were all expecting a successor to the G8, LG instead announced a successor to the V50. The LG V60 ThinQ 5G is the latest fully featured flagship smartphone from Samsung’s Korean rival. LG doesn’t go quite as hard with the spec sheet as others like Samsung and Oppo, but it also doesn’t go as hard with the price point.

Exynos is in Europe, Sony jack implantation was one of the worst in Xperia phones (not the one with real DAC, but that's ages ago).
Your definition of not being as bad as Samsung is really sad as well. "it does not matter it's not good, but it's still better than XY" :D :D :D
Not to mention playing fps on a phone.

    for size of the camera sensor.
    1/1.7" can be much easier presented as 1.49cm
    1/3.4"= 0.75cm
    1/4"= 0.64cm

    the figures can then be much easier for comparison.

    I see that it had now used a a easier degree figure to present the FOV (Field of view). in the past it was also a mysterious mm figure, telling the (equivalent) focal length.

            Geralb, 19 Apr 2020Where is the headphone jack and dac quality test!? Samsung doesnt have one anymore, so Arena doesnt do 3.5 mm jack test anymore.
            Simple and sad as that.
            What we think about those merits though, is irrelevant to them.

            Just add by yourself half a star to this devices overall arena score, for the 3.5mm jack presence, and you get objective overall score for this phone.

              I want to add that I was wrong regarding 64.0 and 64.1. Some Quad Bayer cameras also have 64.1 megapixels. Furthermore the full resolution images do have some artifacts.

                Camera Pro app being essentially similar to a Sony Alpha camera only makes it a better choice for professional use.

It will have its chance to... moreIt may fail in some, but it certainly won't be as bad as having green tint, 120Hz that only works in FHD+, European versions being superior to the version that the rest of the world could get, and definitely no camera focusing issues.
                        Being able to use the best wired headphones (that's miles better than any wireless headsets in pure quality) while charging the phone through a cable and playing PUBG Mobile is certainly what the Xperia 1 Mk II can do. I'm eagered to see your S20 Ultra to do that.

                            Availability , software periodic updates and pramotions are disaster for LG so far except at the time of G6 but compititor offered better specs and since then LG never recovered.
                            Still Wait for handset launch with good scheme in India .

                                  Though I need to add that it is also possible that they improved the Quad Bayer demosaicing algorithms. The 64 megapixel images are not perfectly sharp.

                                    It seems that LG doesn't use a Quad Bayer sensor! This might be the second high resolution Bayer sensor since the Lumia 1020! Quad Bayer 64 megapixel sensors have a resolution of 64.0 megapixels. This one has exactly(!) the same resolution as the 64.1 megapixel Bayer(!) sensor of the Galaxy S20. Bayer sensors capture much more detail than Quad Bayer sensor, therefore LG and Samsung don't need a dedicated 2x tele camera, if the lens is sharp and if there isn't too much noise reduction.
                                    So LG's statement that 0.8 micrometer pixels are combined to 1.6 micrometer pixels is related to downsampling (software) whereas usually this is related to reading four pixels out together (hardware).

                                      I got the LG v60 2 weeks ago. I had an lgv40. So far so good. Battery lasts all day and then some.
                                      Im big on movies and music and this phone does both well. The quad dac is no joke. . I was weary about the 1080 display. But it is crisp. In screen fingerprint scanner is good and works even with tempered glass protector. (Just install your protector first then calibrate finger) I stick with LG because they are in a market where they have to do it right and they always deliver. Just wish they would make a smartwatch again. Still waiting on my dual screen case from LG. Wish they would of just included it with every phone.
