Sony is not the only one who got criticised for using 1080p in their flagships. Samsung got stick for downgrading their lower-tier S phones to 1080p. Another Sony fan with siege mentality.

CompactPhones5ever, 12 May 2022Literally only Sony fanboy can come up with the "duuud... moreFun fact, this 4k OLED Screen is equivalent or just as sharp as a 2k IPS LCD.
The thing is, the sub pixel layout if different from how it's previously done, where LCD are RGB; 3 sub pixels, the phone OLEDs done are RG or BG - twice as much greens.
So a 2k OLED is only as sharp as a 1080p LCD. Meaning people who said 'ohh 2k OLED so sharp' pretty much don't know what they're talking about since it's the same as the 1080p IPS LCD.

Sadly I will skip this seeing overheating problem. I had experience with S22+ and S22Ultra, both very hot and very poor battery. Just save your money skip all Snapdragon 8gen1 phones.

By the way happy to see, as per GSMArena that Sony Xperia 1 IV is the best camera phone to date.
Let's wait for 2030 when Apple will find Sony Xperia 1 IV camera processing and technology is mature enough, so that they can implement it in their phones.
