As someone with S23 Vanilla from 2023, I'm scratching my head why this S25 basically like my current phone 😅
Who thought from Samsung that getting Thinner by couple of mm will be good idea? Are they not seeing what Chinese brands doing, retaining the Thickness but adding More Battery. We could appreciate if they add 100-200mah instead.
Will see if Samsung will learn and do major thing on S26, but skipping upgrade for now 🙄

PeterThePanda, 23 Jan 2025This phone should definitely be a contender on MKBHD's... moreLiterally took Samsung a year to add one more to the s series by making it 1mm thinner.. hilarious

Anonymous, 23 Jan 2025Did they get rid of the green line bug?Seems not, but if you are in some first world countries then seems like the service may cover the damage but maybe only for very limited time when it made into the news.

I really don't understand why they had to remove the Bluetooth feature from the Spen. Like what were they even thinking??? Do the features in SNote also not work? Switching pens, using the erasor. The camera shutter use of the Spen was my favorite, a friend of mine even bought the s24 ultra after seeing me use it on the Note 20! This was not good Samsung. Wasn't required.

This phone should definitely be a contender on MKBHD's Smartphone Awards for 2025 as "Bust of the Year", for basically being the same phone for 3 years already. xD

They should just rename these phones as S22, S22+ and S22 Ultra (Gen 3). xD
No significant changes since 2022, only slight design tweaks and SoC updates.
How embarrassing that they're being beaten by other Android OEMs and even the iPhone when it comes to camera quality and battery life.

[deleted post]That is because their data shows that the vast majority of people did not use those features that needed BT. Heck, for me, I almost never use the S-pen with my S24 Ultra or my Tab S9 tablets.

Anonymous, 22 Jan 2025Yet another disappointing release by Samsung...Apple and Sa... moreI preordered my S25 Ultra within the past hour (512GB unlocked version). I will be trading in my S24 Ultra toward the S25 Ultra. The trade in deals are too good to pass up. The final price after trade in, rewards, cash back, and tax will only be around $260 for me. Purchased from Best Buy. $260 is a superb deal for an S25 Ultra. But, I was going to upgrade anyway from my S24 Ultra. Since I upgrade my main cell phone every year now. So even without the generous deals, I was going to upgrade.
And S25 Ultra for $325 is easily worth it.

Milad, 22 Jan 2025Boring and repititive design with not very good performance... moreNot very good performance? How do you know, postintg the review the day it was announced and not available yet to buy? You are just jealous. It is a great phone, best in Android family.

anonymous225, 22 Jan 2025Since we've reached a point where releasing new phones... moreWe haven't *reached* the point now. We've *been* here since around the iphone 6 era. It's all about dismal yearly upgrades, and has always been.

Milad, 22 Jan 2025Boring and repititive design with not very good performance... moreThere's nout wrong with the performance of the phones very fast and smooth in videos I've seen. And cameras seem to have more details and less noise

Oh, those pathetic excuses by Samsung for depleting us if features over and over again... Consumer's fault? Sure...
Like we didn't complain about SD cards or 3,5mm for years...
Samsung is master of maximising profit, and that's it.

Samsung really expecting their buyers to use their S25/+ phones with outdated camera hardware for 7 years? I guess if you want to upgrade from a three year old S22, you'll just have to look elsewhere.

Does new Samsung photos save real HDR photos ? (HDR additional information is available in tools like Lightroom) or they shoot standard 'pseudo HDR' photos?
