in my country indonesia, i got 2gb memory card, stylus, std headset,plectrum, conectivity cable, its only two color option, silver, and red, i just bought the silver one, i think it worhted, depend on the price, it 2.200.000 IDR, $220

5230 pis good phone in price range. it price in kolkata is Rs8200-8300 inclusive tax & vat

Hi GSM, i hope your reading this...
Noticed an error on this review, in the advantages you have written that this handset comes with a 4gb card but then in the disadvantages you have written it doesnt come with a card...?
Was just curious as to which one is accurate?

Just got one yesterday A black 5230 I would say it looks dam CLASSY good to hold very responsive touchphone Slightly expensive in Mumbai, India where VAT is applicable 12.5% on the total cost of the cell Costed me 9300 INR the NPD offered me a data cable a/w 2gb memory card all this for total of 10000

Hello,
I picked this phone a few days back in Mumbai for Rs. 9300/- and had to purchase a mem. chip 8 gb which costed Rs. 850/-
Downside :
- Phone is only available in 2 colours in India. Silver and Black. I picked up the silver one. Package does not comes with extra back covers. I desperately wanted the yellow one and as per Nokia Priority this colour is not expected in India for a while.
- Phone does not have included memory card which is understandable considering its price.
- Poor output on loudspeaker
- Just about "ok" headphones available. For music lovers, Good quality headsets recommended.
- Battery would just last for a day max for a good usage which includes music, bluetooth transfers, few calls and web browsing.
- Flash is missing however pictures are sharp in day light.
Positives :
- Good touch response.
- Heaps of 3rd party softwares available. Indeed a smart phone.
- Stable connectivity and fast data browsing speed.
- Very easy to use interface and so on...
Summary : If you have been using Nokia and want a cheap touch phone, This phone is highly recommended. I'm in love with this phone. I would anytime prefer it above Samsung and LG of same price range.

The price is about $200 or less.. i bought mine at $170 although there are differences in the box according to your country although the specs remain the same... here in the phil and in romania ( i think ), the 5230 comes with a data cable, 2GB memory card and the back cover has a stylus although they removed the extra back covers

in the review it is stated that there is no TV OUT functionality.
But if i buy a nokia TV OUT cable separately and plug it in 5230, won't i be able to get it work?

Nokia 5230 avaiable in Mumbai from 29 dec in Nokia Priority Dealers without an memory card(u have to buy micro sd card from outside...that makes it more expensive) also no data cord with the pack...stylus present in the pack. Price Rs 9389/-

awesom mobiel . simply love it ,,,, i didnt get the extera back covers and the pen stylus though i did get the plectrum one ............ awesom mobile :P
