Reading a few comments, I realise how full GSMarena is with trolls.
"Bah Samsung sucks, LG sucks, etc." It's just sad how much people have to spend their time this way. Just get the phone YOU want, and don't lecture others on what to do.
And the more companies who make these types of phones, the better. Do you trolls want to pay even more than for Apple's RIDICULOUSLY overpriced iPhone? Competition is only a benefit for US, customers.

Hey I'd like to know if this phone has got a black list function, when you can block some number. Also how's internet browser? Does it play videos from gametrailers and the like?

what feature phones have become
this has good specs and should have a good price too, the fact that you get a Smartphone or more like an evolution of the feature phone Touch Wiz along with it is just a bonus noone will care about.
the whole smartphone thing is just for Samsung to "Have Applications" as that is the craze these days cause of the App store
noone will buy this for being a Smartphone, you can get much better alternatives if you don't mind spending alittle more.
Android
iPhone OS
WinMo
WinPo
WebOS

Good luck with the Trojan virus you get with this phone:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/02/samsung-wave-shipping-with-infected-microsd-card/
This only shows you how Samsung doesn't give a d*mn about your phone. They don't even finalize their product before releasing. Yeah, good luck getting an update too.

AndyBurgin, 02 Jun 2010Wave looks a very good mobiles but previous Samsung mobiles... moreThe new screen doesnt drain battery it saves 20%. They removed some stuff to make it brighter hence it doesnt affect battery.
it looks like music is 35 hours play time.

Abit dissapointed that it doesnt have autofocus on video recording. i can live without it i guess.
i coudnt find anything about the battery life? was it great or bad?
The phone is damn cheap in southafrica. it sells for 4500 rands where a galaxy s is 8000 rands. That almost twice as much! Thx to bada i guess we can have a cheap fast smooth ui phone :D.

altough good display en gimmick.. I don't see something new.. BADA seems not promising only support by Samsung and User interface seems very very like another samsung touchwiz. The worst thing is their design makes me sick.

@ MI 2Zhq.. What the hell you are talking about?
'Super AMOLED is more of a marketing gimmick than something worthwhile'- I think you have been early realized from mental hospital. Have you ever seen compared amoled with superamoled? Watch the youtube videos and see superamoled is superior than amoled and best ever screen available in mobile industry. ' I work in screen developments' (LolZz)(I think you wash dust there, better stick to your work than posting annoying comments)
'I can assure it is just a marketing stuff'(crab! You want us to believe that? Soon you are gonna loose your job, if you have any at all), 'and I maybe wrong'- yeah, you are absolutely wrong, no question about that. Super amoled is the best mobile screen ever.

well looks like bada has more applications than samsung initially promised to start with, to be exact 133 vs 100. seems like samsung kept their promise after all. Now if i remember correctly, it took apple almost a year to launch their apps store after the 1st iphone came out. wave just got released a week ago with a apps store ready to accompany it, automatically puts it way ahead of apple.
Now take that Icrap boys!!!!

The Samsung S8500 BadaBada Wave is finally hitting the shops but there seems to be a problem. The micro-SD cards that ship along with the Samsung S8500 Wave package seem to be infected.
The S8500 Wave ships with a 1GB micro-SD cardmicro-SD card which accidentally has a malware program called slmvsrv.exe on it. It is a self replicatingself replicating virus known as Win32/Heur and appears with the AutorunAutorun.ini file. The virus will begin auto installation when it is inserted into any PC having the autorun feature enabled.
This does not seem to be just a specific unit problem and may be a problem with most handsets. We are hoping to hear an official statement from Samsung either confirming or denying this.
