Hii bought a sumsang j1 ace in february bt now its refusing to download and update anything. Wors it has started to freeze n b slow. I think its time i bought a new model i lvd sumsang bt now i doubt it.

Messenger chat heads are not working well. I've been using it for just 6months and it doesn't function well.

Buyer beware! This is the worst phone I have ever bought! The thing freezes continually, tells me "System Process" is not responding, same with the Google App, Messaging, Facebook, Gallery, etc. Don't waste your money on this worthless pile of garbage!

I was really annoyed with this phone so naturally I researched a lot about why it's being like this, but I didn't find anthing helpful at all. I've tried what I could, really. I'm not just whining about its problems. This phone seriously does have problems that seem to have no solution, unless they release a software update that could fix it.

biggest pile of crap!!! this is the worst phone i have ever owned, my old sony z1 never played up like this after 2 years of abuse, tried to update and still crap, slow and apps won't open or just freeze in use takes forever just to send a text!
now have to buy another phone waste of $200 bucks, save you money and your mind do not purchase this phone!!!

I have just one problem the optimizer is auto optimizer and I can't stop Facebook from being optimized that's making the messenger stopped working and I'm not having notification about new messages I want you to make the optimizer visible and thank you that's all

go on to your pics or whatever is using a lot memory, and click on it and theres a button that says 'move to SD card', you need to create a new folder. and thats basically it.

dear freinds, you have to root it and there are apps like wsm modules
always remeber that rooting can softbrick phone if yo did something wrong

Can you please tell me how to solve the "not enough memory" issue? I have to upgrade the WhatsApp and I can't do this. I have deleted everything, from downloads to games to pictures and videos. I have boutht a 16GN memory card, and it doesn't mean a thing. I can still not upgrade my WhatsApp and at the moment I only have one game on my phone. Is there a setting where I can download a eating plan with recipes, apps and games and even music straight onto the SD Card? PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME?

I hate this phone, no memory, no memory not enough memory on and on and on........
I bought a 16GB memory card and it is still giving messages of not enough memory. There is no setting to download an app straight to the SD Card? And then you can't upgrade the phone, you are being kicked off whatsApp. Messages that you did not write gets sent and the ones you did, just dissappears. Calls will just be cut, and you won't be able to phone again, for what reason?? Apps won't work, the phone will just die while you are busy with something, and then it is not even low of flat battery. I have never felt so frustrated with a phone in my life! Wonder if I would be able to sell it? don't want this piece of sh@!*t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My advice for anyone asking if they should buy this phone is NO NO NO!!!!!! Don't waste your money on Samsung Galaxy J1. I feel that Samsung should contact all the buyers and give us a free replacement phone that actually works, who can afford now to go out and buy another phone to replace this pathetic excuse of a phone?
Does someone from Samsung even look at these complaints? I have never seen a reply from them................

What a waste of my R1500...really now Samsung? I have always been a Samsung user but this phone has proven to be so faulty...My data connection just went off for no reason I couldnt connect but only receive calls (rebooted a million times)...
I think the more expensive a Sumsung gets the better!

The volume control is not loud enough, and yes the apps installed are totally useless and uses storage that could be used personally. I will be looking for a refund or an exchange. Money is too hard to come by to be ripped off. The main reason i bought it was to play my games as my previous samsung was not compatible to play games on, but was far more reliable. now i get told i dont have enough room to download my games. CRAPPIEST PHONE EVER.

anon, 17 Apr 2016reading your comment reminds me of a customer i got today..... moreProblem is this phone is so bad nothing really worked on the one I had call did not work, sms failed, application closed when alarm, l was luck the shop made a mistake so I could return it, I have had about 12 smart phone (Samsung, HTC, Asus, LG, Sony, iMobile) and this is the only one with so many problems.
