Lola, 04 Apr 2016Never again - I am stuck with my phone for the next 2 years... moreIk this phone is sooooo slow, but if u dont want it be slow, power it off completely, then hold home, power and ^ volume button until it turns on, use the lower volume button to scroll on the green android thing, go down to wipe cache... , and click power button, then go up to reboot, this only works for a while tho, it speeds up like when you first go it, so you may have to keep doing it, hope this helps ; )

512 MB RAM is not for today((every day goes upgrade)) , a total failure , it's very slow....

This phone is a steaming pile of trash. Do not buy this phone. 512mb RAM is a joke, and it will only ever run quickly for the first days of owning it. After you actually download apps to it it will start to be sluggish and slow within days of owning it. Oh and with only 4gb if internal memory, most of which is taken up by system files and a bunch of pointless Google apps you can't really download much apps before you're out of space and have to buy an SD card. If you don't have an SD card forget about having music or videos, photos is the best you can do and even that's a stretch.
Camera is nothing special, the speakers are average and the battery started to give me trouble only 3 months into owning it. This phone has no redeeming qualities and I'm glad that it was stolen from me.

My samsung j1 is terreble imagine it cant allow me to use twitter it run off whenever am using twitter. Slow on browsing, low space and it sucks my bundles alot

Samsung Galaxy J1 freezes a lot 💔 Can u pls make add a new update for this phone to work fast. I bought this phone because I know that Samsung have the best phones... But, Other smart phones are better. Please fix this..

I have been approached by a service provider to take out a contract I have read all the fixtures regarding the phone but I don't know if its just part of marketing

Never again - I am stuck with my phone for the next 2 years.
Freezes, logs out whenever, sooooo slow, storage space is too little. Takes forever to log into anything. Never again. I am very disappointed.

Anonymous, 30 Mar 2016J1 is a very good phone the only reason people have problem... moresee now this is what i am talking about, people are so quick to say a phone is terrible, like i said in my review, my talk/text would never work right, i played around a while and changed the speed of the talk feature and it fixed it right away, the only issue i had with the phone is no more of an issue!! maybe people just want to bitch, who knows.

I read all the comments ( most of them) about this Galaxy J1 smart phone. I have to say, unless i dont expect much from my phone, which i dont think is true, i found thid phone to be just fine. I dont know what everyone is bitching about. reading these reviews I am starting to wonder why i am not having any issues. I use it for email. texting, internet, everything you would use a smartphone for , and I have NONE of these issues. I bought the phone out right. no contract. it was a great deal. and again, i have had No issues. I have had the phone for about a year now, so i think i am giving a fair review, ( not like i had it for a week ) for the money, i think this phone is great. the only issue i have had that aggrivates me, is that when I use the "talk/text" it wasnt hearing what i was saying correctly, about 50% of the time - BUT, i figured out how to fix it, I changed the talk speed to "fast" and BANG, suddenly everything i say is fast and correct !!! - - SORRY TO BE THE PARTY POOPER, but i think for the money, THIS PHONE ROCKS!!

Not a great phone.
I bought it only for anonymous wifi browsing and i have to say it sucks for this.
I get phantom touches quite regularly, and the keyboard sometimes dances when i use it .-.
Also, i'll be reading a web article and it'll zoom me right back to the top for no apparent reason.
One time i was reading text to a friend from an image on Instagram and my phone decided to "like" the post for me then it decided that i didn't need to follow the OP anymore .-.
Also, slow: much lag. Internet browser feels shallow and basic and my internet shuts down regularly.
I'm considering rooting it and installing a custom rom, provided that the ghost touches are a software issue and not a hardware problem .-.

I hate this phone so much - it freezers/doesn't respond to anything/takes sooo long to do anything on it, now I'm stuck with it for another 12 months!!!!!!
