Greedy Sammy. Rather go with the oneplus 6, A $1000 phone shouldn't easily break and get screen burn in.

Dan, 28 Aug 2018Fellow Note 8 owner here, I totally agree with your assessment.Note9 is a great incremental improvement.

Basisically, Samsung updated the Note8 in terms of hardware - processor, doubled the base memory, very slight improvement to the camera, integrated BT to the S Pen, 700 mAh more battery... And that's mostly it.

A Galaxy Note8 s. They could have done all this with the Note8 last year. Samsung could have integrated an on-screen fingerprint scanner with the Note9 - news is that's for next year.

My wife hardly used her 32 GB S7 Edge's internal memory and 32 GB microSD card, and she'll have 100 GB free internal storage until she gets a new phone. She is even suggesting that I'd use the Note9 instead. Haha. I'm letting her feel the newness of the Note9.

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2018Amazing ! The increased battery capacity and improved S pen... moreBT remote of the S Pen is nothing to brag about - I can do that with my Gear watch with camera View Finder. 20% or 700 mAh battery increase is not that much. I'm coming from as a Note8 user, who has actually used a Note9 with my SIM in it. Battery efficiency amongst battery tests only shows 10% battery longevity for the Note9 against Note8. Nothing to brag about. I would still need to charge in the middle of the day.

This is not to say Note9 is not impressive - it is a wonderful improvement, but not so much from the Note8. Same feel, same core functions, same camera resolution and results, 10% battery improvement with actual use, same S Pen pressure levels. I am impressed with the higher internal of 128gb, but I don't think this calls for $999 just to have that. I already have tremendous storage in the form of an encrypted microSD card - excellent move comeback from the half-baked Note.5.

Nothing compared to your actual Huawei Honor phone.

At 8:45 AM, I got my NOTE 9 fully charged(100%) ...After day-long moderate usage, I find still 35% left at 9:00PM ...Not BAD !!!!

[deleted post]Sheesh... we know the Note9 checks all the boxes. Only reason my wife got it is based on my recommendation. Note8 and S9 owners do not need to upgrade. Little sense in doing so... unless you were careless in losing an S7 Edge.

Do not be so boastful with the Note9. Note9 will be overshadowed with the S10 in 6 months with another set of slight improvements. Note10 will be something as well with 1 terabyte, on screen fingerprint scanner.

Enjoy your 6 months. I can say I can still use the Note9 from time to time, and still say Note8 can still do 98% of what Note9 does.

Great phone but weight and big size is a deal breaker for me. If the phone does not fit inside pocket when sitting down, thats too big. Works for taller and bigger folks.

Even for simple voice command, Samsung Bixby 2.0 needs Net Connection, eg: To wake Up, Accept Call, Reject call, etc...What a Joke !!!!! SAMSUNG NEEDS TO THINK ON IT for wider acceptance .....
