I have been using this phone for the last 5 months, coming from a samsung S10 plus
here are my thoughts:
I would score this phone a 8.7/10
camera: excellent( daylight photography) ..night time(struggles abit with noise) but not bad
battery: is good...decent power drive...
build quality: excellent material and feel..plus the ip68 rating is good, overall feels good!
display: 120hz, hrd10+ is excellent..good viewing angles
speakers are loud , and basely ...so good..
cons:
heating issues sometimes
camera lag sometimes
not getting ui 6.0 and android 14
camera night mode is a dissapointment, s10 plus is miles ahead
overall, a very nice smartphone, thumbs up ...I would highly recommend it!

So unfortunate that S20FE will not get the android 14 and one ui 6 update from Samsung.
I don't see it as a deal breaker, though it would be nice to have that battery life thingy where you see what status is your batery condition.
Anyhow, performance still rocking after a few years of constant usage, with minimum of 6 hours of screen on time and with wifi and or mobile data.
Didn't realy test the gaming performance much, as i am not a big gamer of phone, but i did try a few browser games which most of the time work same as on a pc (minus the annoying bugs related with the keybord that appears on screen for me to write something and keeps pushing the screen upwards and making the game not be central on the character).
If somebody considers the s20fe in late 2023, i'd say don't.
Unless you don't care about software suport for the future and you just want a decent device for light gaming and content consumption (oh yes, everything watched on this phone looks and sounds great).

Weird, my telephoto images are 12 mega pixels not 8. But would make more sense to match the other cameras, and why it would be worse than the S10.

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2023Are You Sure,Cos I wanted to buy A53 5G….Pls Which Is The B... moreI have both.
S20fe
*Better camera day and night, plus long zoom range capability with nice detail
*Better selfie at daylight
*Performance, no lag at all
*Gaming
*HDR10+ display
*Better stereo sound
*Until android 13 only, oneui5.1 (no more incoming huge update, only security patch), not sure with this. Hopefully it can get support til 2024
*Better build with ip68, plus metal frame.
A53
*better Video recording at night (but with autofocus hunting which is super annoying)
*Better selfie cam at night
*Slightly have a lag
*Better battery usage
*stereo sound is not good
*More update support
*Side frame can easily scratch due to plastic build
Now it's your choice.

I can keep this phone until 2025 at least. I have the A53 as primary before but I switch to S20fe as my primary now coz everything on this phone is better than A53.

Sawyiier, 17 Jun 2023How is the battery with you after the 1.5 year is it still goodCan't say excellent for battery life. I think It is acceptable. I only charged up to 90% and never let it drop to 0% for battery health. With 90%, yesterday battery went with 16 h 3 m. and screen time 4 h 24 m.
If battery life is the main criteria for you, you must have a look at other phones.
And mine one is Snapdragon version and I never see above 43 degree Celsius.
