Anonymous, 23 Feb 2022Upgrade from S20 Snapdragon or Exynos version? In case it i... moreYes it's exynos version. I am buying S22.

But when some one says . ... How it is an downgrade update ? From 1440p to 1080 and from 12gb ram to 8gb ram ?

And It's run around in my mind and stop me buying S22😒🤦‍♂️

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2022What is your SOT time? In the end of the day how Many batt... moreSo today, my first full day with my unlocked S22, I had it off the wireless charger for 12.5 hours. I had around two hours of Android Auto Wireless use, 2.25 hours of Bluetooth use with my Galaxy Buds+, and 2.5 hours of screen time. Wifi and BT also stays on all day (I never turn them off). My battery was at 24% when I placed it back on the wireless charger. So that wasn't bad at all for me.

I had no problem using it all day and still had a decent amount of battery charge left. And hopefully, that should improve after using it for a week or two. And after they also update the software. My S22 is on the security patch from January. There was no update out of the box for it. While my S21 is on a security update from February. But I thought I read that the S22 wouldn't be updated until the official launch day of February 25th?

What the heck is up with Samsung? I received my S22 and galaxy Watch 4 yesterday and never got a shipping notice.

This morning I got a text say that my items are on the way. WTH?
Earlier this morning my order still showed as "IN Process".
Now it does show that it has been shipped but it doesn't even show it was delivered.

At first I was worried that they sent me out another order. But, after checking the tracking number, it shows that it was delivered yesterday. Which is correct. But for the order Samsung is not showing it as delivered yet.

And I need them to still send me an email with the info I need for trade in of my S21.
I certainly hope they don't mess up my order. Because I went through TopCashBack to get $45 back(which gives me $47.25 on a Visa prepaid card) from the order I placed.

Im waiting for my S22. Although a little bit concern about the battery drain..

Anonymous, 23 Feb 2022How it is an update ? From 1440p to 1080 and from 12gb ram ... moreIt is an update because everything else is an improvement over the S20.
Whether 8GB or 12GB of RAM? I have never seen a difference. And with a higher resolution screen you typically needed to run things at a lower rez anyway to run at 120hz. I'll take 120Hz any day over 60Hz.

But i understand that they can t do 4k display , but at least keep the specs that previos model had and that is 2k , QHD , 1440p how do you want to call it.
Why on earth will you buy the next model when it has lesser ram and lesser display quality?
You only buy for cpu ?

When I got to work, after 35 minutes of using wireless AA, my S22 battery was at 91%.
Which is a little worse than my S21. My S21 would be at 92%

So right now that is not as good as my S21. But my S22 has only been powered on for around fourteen hours so far. Hopefully it will improve a little as it learns my patterns. Ideally I would like to get battery life like I had with my S21. But, even if it is less, as long as I can go all day on a charge, like I could with my S21, then I will be happy.

My S22 is certainly quicker starting with Wireless AA on the Motorola MA1. It was a few seconds quicker for Wireless AA to be ready than it was with my S21. So I was at least glad to see that.

Is S22 worth upgrading from S20

I am currently transferring my data from my S21 to my S22 right now. Although I guess it will be few days until I get back to my normal usage. Since I'll be testing apps and things out for the first few days.

But so far everything looks great. I put on my Spigen screen protector and Spigen case. I moved my Verizon prepaid SIM over to my S22, and it's working for calls properly. Once I get things transferred, I'll need to set it up for wireless Android Auto.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2022The problem is that S-series were never made for the batter... moreBecause the S21 has equal or better specs in everything except the screen resolution. When compared to the S20. For me, those better specs with other things, easily trump the lower resolution screen.

I upgraded several tablets, in 2020, to a lower resolution screen and an LCD instead of an OLED. But they are much, much faster than the ancient OLED tablets they replaced. And they didn't cost me much money after trade in and sale prices. For the $60 to $80 they cost me out of pocket, they were easily worth it. Even though the screens are not OLED and have lower resolution.

Besides, your average cell phone user has absolutely no clue what the resolution of their cell phone screen is.

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2022Maybe it is a downgrade, but i think it is understandable ... moreThe problem is that S-series were never made for the battery to last long. They were made to be the best high end thing at that moment.
They allways have best display in the market at the time when they arived.
And you don t need super eyes to see the difference betwin FHD and 1440p on that screen because you keeep the phone very close to your face , eyes.
Sure if you buy a high end smartphone to stay on social media and some internet browsing you can t see the difference.
But when you watch a high quality video or play a good graphics game you notice alot of difference.
All people that i know and buyed S21 buy it just to flex because it is the new thing.
They did not bother to check what specs has , if it is better or worst than the previos one.
And the worst is people who waid that you don t need that , you don t need that. You don t know what i need.
And why change your smartphone with one with less specs ?
Would you change you pc/ laptop for a newer with less specs ?
