When my last phone died, i had to change the mother board, and everything in it was deleted...I was so happy my prized pictures and videos were on the SD card so i got them back in a second ! Try doing that on a phone without memory card...

This phone is first Samsung I have used in years. My last Samsung phone was a Note 8. I got a slight discount on it because it was a week before the Note 9 release. I am still kicking my self for not waiting for the newer phone. The Note 8 was a great phone. The curved screen was scary for me. I didn't like using the stylus with a glass protector. There were times I would take of the protector and buy another one. I like that my new phone doesn't have a curved screen. I rarely use my camera so it not a problem if there something wrong with it with a certain type of shot. I hope the port doesn't get loose like in did on my old Note 8. That was the biggest reason I end up upgrading my phone.

Ss, 11 Oct 2023I was thinking about purchase s24 plus with 8gen 3 but rum... moreI have been using S22+ for more than 1.5 years now and it's a Snapdragon one......I'm fully satisfied with it but before this I used Samsung note 10 Exynos one that was a disaster......I was happy to get Snapdragon version in my region......but now rumours suggesting that vanilla and the plus model will be of Exynos with the 24 series.....so in future if this continues like I will be changing my phone after 2-3 years from now on it will be like 26 series and if Exynos continues for the plus version then I will switch to iphone plus version.

Before buying I considered this apprehension and so decided in favour S23+ instead of Ultra.

But the blurry patches in banana shape in the middle of the picture is a lens defect and not acceptable...wait and see if that will be fixed in S24. So for now, no S23 or S23 plus for me.

No matter which one you buy, if it drops it will most likely scratch, or crack, or have some potential issue.

moroboshi, 06 Oct 2023hello sorry but what is the banana blur effectIt is an issue which appears to be attributed to the bright aperture present on both S23 and S23 Plus devices' rear wide-angle lens.

There is a big difference between the A54 and the S23+. No way would I ever want to use an A54 after using my S23+. There would be a night and day difference in performance.

Heck, just by not having wireless charging i would never use an A54. Wireless charging is the way I have charged my cell phones over 99% of the time. Since I got the Galaxy S6, in 2015.
