Another so-called flagship with features missing, that immediately take it out of any possible purchase list.
No SDCard slot? No 3.5mm jack? Only x2 eSim?
Any of those alone already means this phone series will never be in contention for a purchase choice for myself or my wife.
This is an unfortunate choice by the marketing droids within Samsung, as otherwise the phone series would be a definitive top-choice for a next phone if/when either of our current phones is no longer repairable..
I've already personally swapped out two displays and a battery in my A52s-5g, and swapped one display+one rear panel+one battery in my wife's S24. Her phone was zero-cost to us but confirms that no SD and no headphone jack will cost the next sale.

I currently own a Google Pixel 8 and thinking of trading it with the Galaxy S25 as I got multiple discounts at hand.
Disregrading the slow 25w charging , would you guys think it's a better phone in many ways than the Pixel 8?
Or stick to my Pixel 8 and wait for discounts later this year?

I have just compared it with my S23 and they're basically the same phone, the only difference is that this one has a better processor which is to be expected when the two phones are two years apart.
Other than that, everything is identical.
I don't see why would anyone think of upgrading when the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip inside the S23 is still more than capable.

This preorder thing is just a way for Samsung to boast that the phone is selling well, but only by giving a discount to a brand new phone.

So... it says up there that it was announced on January 22, 2025 (that's 3 days ago) and is expected to go on sale sometime February... Yet all my local shops have it in stock already and 2 days ago my boss came in with the one he had bought the other day? Umm, someone should double-check those numbers up there.

horus12, 24 Jan 2025So it's finally time to upgrade from my S10e. In the E... moreApple's dongle, 10 usd/EUR. 24 bits 48khz. Usb compliant, works like a charm. Cheap to replace if broken. I don't like that aolendice connected to headphone we seem to don't have much choice anymore.
If really want to go nuts, ugreen has 384khz 32 bits dongle. Some audiophiles and music engineers can hear the sound of cables so who knows ( a bit sarcastic, I couldn't resist...)

It's same tsmc process, sale screeens, by which magic they could do better... Apple would have martian tech coders ? I'm coder for too long, yes they are good and obsssessed at optimizing, like killing apps, prelozd webpages, are mostly swipping problems under the carpet and making it worse.
So zamzing finally switched back to Qualcomm for all s25 everywhere ?

Screen definitely become too small. My older eye and badly designed apps, especially with zoom enabled.
Not sure still worth pay that huge price for Samsung also.not much improvement except proc.
Picture, well I don't buy those IA stuff, don't know what real improvoements are.
Their shenanigans spyi buggy bloated os not any better that shytomi or googoo nowadays. So why pay that much. And do I really need elite procnfor text and browse ..
Idk. I'll go cheaper mid range brands I think, it's as good if now better ( less bloaty-spy annoying software ) nowadays.
