AnonD-188202, 03 Mar 2014same as z2 not water proof only water resitantZ2 has ip58 rating means it can be dipped in water for an unlimited time and that's called waterproof.
while s5 can only go upto 1 m depth for just 30 minutes.and that's called water resitant.
is it clear now?
Z2 is waterproof and s5 is water resistant.

The specs are somewhat okay. Yet, should the memory was 3Gb and the Camera entailed OIS, I would not have any criticism about this new flagship.

AnonD-237389, 03 Mar 2014I accept number 8 and 9 from your previous post,,and the ot... moreReally? Self created reasons? So, Sony is ABSOLUTELY correct in having their most expensive devices with fixed batteries, since they ABSOLUTELY last the entire day?
LOL.
So, you're telling us that despite all the proven and tested short battery stamina of the last 5 Sony Xperia Z series, that YOU don't need to recharge if YOU HEAVILY use your Xperia Z variant?
So, no charger.
No charge docking anywhere.
No power bank.
No need for it to have a spare battery at all.
No need to turn off Bravia/Triluminous.
Then by golly, Sony should have more than 5% of the World market in mobile phones!
You certainly know how batteries work.
I'm not even saying Sony is totally bad since I have been buying their products for 10 solid years before. If only they had more sense in better battery management now then the other brands, I'd get one. Why in the world would I get one Xperia when I know some other brand got it right with their batteries?

Unacceptable design, plastic and only plastic.what the hell.better you all buy Sony Xperia Smartphone with their Good looks and premium build quality with aluminium frame.Samsung has their worst design phones from low to highend phones, what point of using all same looking phones.people behind you may thinks that u r using galaxy grand insted u r using some high end galaxy phone.SO MY ADVICE TO ALL PEOPLE. Of this world that go for good and premium. Looking. Smartphones not with just features. Loaded shut phone like this so.

You can't even point out those 2 out of the 10 thin... moreI accept number 8 and 9 from your previous post,,and the other explanations you gave related to them,,but higher capacity, staying longer, and carry power banks and others are only your self created reasons for removable battery,,and if you think thats why people buy Samsung youre wrong,90% Cannot even provide a reason for it,,Samsung took advantages of other companies weak days and thanks to paid webs it become such a giant,

AnonD-237389, 03 Mar 2014You wanna know why z2 is better,I will tell you
1_much bet... moreDesign and UI are subjective, but the Z2's camera will most likely be worse than the S5's, if the Z1 is anything to go by, the battery life will probably be bad, like in the Z1 (6 hours battery life when browsing the web is pathetic), and, quite frankly, LCDs are rubbish compared to the far more versatile AMOLEDs. And the S5 is a very good phone in itself, so...

AnonD-237389, 03 Mar 2014Sure removable battery has its own advantages,,but the ten ... moreOh wow. You can't even point out those 2 out of the 10 things a removable battery is advantageous over a fixed non-removable one.
But there's are injustices of what a built-in battery system for SMARTPHONES holds.
1. Weaker and tinier battery.
With the more power demanding hardware, and new OS features, you'd think they would increase the batteries. Instead, they have resorted to "it got 20% thinner" and "it's waterproof" but in reality it's just water-resistant of about 1m depth and anything beyond that, water seeps in. Is a shorter usage time what you want with a 2mm thinner device? Switching off features like LTE just to get by the day?
2. Exorbitant prices for replacing built-in.
It would happen long after your warranty expires. Warranty for my region is only 6 months to a year. Battery degradation happens after more than a year. It'd cost you more than twice the amount at the service center. For big OEM batteries like the Note series, it's only around $25.
3. DAYS or even over a week to have them replaced.
Fixed batteries aren't always stocked, and hence the ordering time needed to get them. You can imagine too the millions the manufacturer has sold and you'd be not the only one in waiting. In the meantime, what do you think you'll be using as a smartphone? How much time you'd think going to the center and coming back again to get your device back?
4. Making us carry power banks, power jackets or plug in more, away from home.
I thought the whole point of mobile devices is being wireless. What use is that thinner design form factor when you end up carrying extra stuff thicker than your device itself? Power jackets just can't give you an equivalent 100% charge, heats up everytime and becomes dead weight.
5. Limiting capabilities & features and LTE signals.
Steve Jobs NEVER officially signed off with LTE for the iPhone. Verizon's CEO said so, only after Jobs passed away. We got iPhone5 users complaining about LTE signals not and switching to the 3G signal often. Apple never intended its users to download torrents, unless you do some hack configuring with the settings. They just don't want you draining that tiny 1500mAh battery they put in.
Sony is following the iPhone path with its premium line up where their batteries are fixed and not optimized.
