Raul, 01 Feb 2019Hello , someone know about when s8 plus will recive android... moreGsmarena are saying February and Sammobile the same. The Beta has just had a recent update.

BUT and it is a BIG BUT

If the update to Oreo was anything to go by it did take a while to roll out to all regions when it was finally released and they had to pull it after just a short period after releasing Oreo the last time and try again. I'm pretty sure they won't want to repeat that again. So hopefully fingers crossed shouldn't be too long but hey tbh I'm in no real hurry personally.

So the map yeah it might be moving but on the screen there might be little buttons you interact with that are on the screen that are static even though yes the map is moving. ..

Think of an uber driver for example, using for long periods at a time.

As I've said I've never had the problem, well not that I've ever noticed anyway and I say that because it can be very difficult to spot. I don't really go looking for it tbh. I would gladly buy another Samsung display without a second thought they are incredible. So please don't think I'm knocking the phone. I have been blown away by the S8 plus and still really happy with it, nearly 2 years later. Best phone I've ever had and the longest I've ever kept a phone for.

But surely if you're using your p... moreYeah, I see what your saying haha I should of been more clear, it's a bit hard to explain but it can be caused by (and this could be any app/game) the User interface. You know like little buttons that you interact with that are permanently on the screen as the app is on. Dunno if that makes sense and sorry I genuinly don't meant to come across as patronising if it comes across that way.

I can accept minimal curved screen corners but this one has a massive curved screen corners, unfortunately it doesn't looks gorgeous than squared display.

FullmetalJun, 30 Jan 2019Most people who have burn in screen always use maximum brig... moreI've used a lot of Samsung phones in the past with amoled displays like: S6 edge+, S7 edge, Note FE, S8 and now the Note 8 and never had any screen burn issues on any of them and they all had been a pleasure to use. I always use auto brightness so the screen adapts the lighting conditions without stressing the display. Yeah you're right people using full brightness might be facing screen burn issues.

DJ FROST, 29 Jan 2019i had an s8+ g955f and it wasn't a copy and yes it had burn... moreMost people who have burn in screen always use maximum brightness with no auto. All amoled screens will have this after about 1 year if u always use maximum brightness. Just use 50% & auto brightness.
So never use full brightness constantly on any phone as well.
Even lcd screen will have bleeding issues after about 1-2 years on constant full brightness. And the battery will also degrade faster since the phone also heats faster

                                    S8 Plus or HUAWEI Y9 2019

Since Mate 20pro and s10 series are way over 900USD.
I am stuck between the Huawei y9 2019 and this s8 Plus.
My major concern here is battery life and the larger screen, so which one do you guys think I should get now until the top-end Flagship prices drop.
How does the Huawei Y9 compare to s8 plus in battery usage?

When you refer to brightness surely your screen shuts down after some time or is it on 24/7. I've set mine to shut down after one minute. It's also set to about 80% brightness level and is not on auto brightness.
