Anonymous, 21 Aug 2008Just makes me angry after waiting for this phone for ages, ... moreYou are being told this wrongly by O2. They are bothered about shifting large stock of Toccos first. Samsung tell me directly that O2 are taking it, eventually. If you don't want to wait, and nor do I , as I am with O2, if it becomes available on Vodafone on 24th as is suggested, just switch carriers.

- Omnia or Nokia E71?

The 72 pages manual of Omnia is very poor compared with the 220 plus pages
manual of i780 (or other comparable phones), many issues have not been dealt with, e.g. how to use flashlight, how to copy songs to Touch Player. A dictionary and better card games, such as bridge should have installed, bearing in mind that the keen competitor Nokia E71 has dictionary , 15 cards games and equalisers.
Samsang, please listen to our feedbacks!.

Just makes me angry after waiting for this phone for ages, when it finally does my network 02 tells me it wont be on 02. So if you are on 02 and waiting for this you can only get it on mobiles.co.uk (you have to cancel your current 02 contract and then get buy it on 02)or Carphone Warehouse where it is cost you (over £130) if you are not on a high tariff

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I want the same Sarah, read previous postings. O2 will be late with the phone as they want to iron out the bugs, but moreover sell their stock of Tocco. That said the Innov8 is knocking on the door.

I have just had a little play with the Omnia in the Phones4U in Norwich! My first experience with a WM - I quite like it!
Beware if you have fat fingers though - I found texting quite hard! Possibly threough not used to using a touch phone though...
For those who worry about lack of resolution / colours etc - dont be. I will be moving from an N95 so was really worried about losing screen quality, but from what I saw in 10 mins, those worries were unfounded. The web browser looks excellent.
They were selling it £35 Orange, £45 o2, £55 Vodafone, with lesser prices available, but having to pay for the handset obviously.
I think my line of attack is going to be wait for it to come out on o2 Direct, play them off against Orange and get a free handset with unlimited Web Bolt-on for £35. Don't really care what mins/texts that gives me as I am sure it will be more than I need anyway...

@techie. How much does the 8g and 16g go for? Btw, the byline of iphone should now be, "the Omnia competitor". Iphone is not the benchmark, Omnia is. =)

Hi guys, Im Andy and im from Manila, Philippines. I was just reading about the specifications of the new Samsung i900 Omnia and was wondering if the touchscreen is also scratch proof. I mean it should be cause basically its a touchscreen phone and more prone to scratches. I learned that some other touchscreen phones are not scratch proof. I would appreciate it if anyone who has this type of phone give me some light on the subject and help me make a better decision whether its worth it to buy this phone or not. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello guys! I am now a proud owner of the Omnia Sgh I900;(16gb inside). Congratulations and thanks to Samsung for the birth of my dream phone. I'm pretty sure the technology and features on The Omnia will be the benchmark of all future phones no matter its origin or brand name. To make this short, Omnia is the future of handphones UNTIL someone creates handphones instead of using touchpad technology, use hologram for user interface! Remember this my friends, 'WHAT MAN THINK POSSIBLE, MAN CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!'
