AnonD-31543, 18 Dec 2011I sold this phone after using more than one year... for me ... moreI still prefer my Laptop to be fully equipped than on my cellphone... and that's only my opinion and preference. There's no reason for me to complain much on my Wave since it is doing good for the last 1 yr & 7 months.

Love this phone, so compact, simple and powerful. Not really a smartphone like Android, but for me who uses it for calling, sms, camera and video recorder and a few games, it is the best. Loudspeaker is very good too.

I sold this phone after using more than one year... for me it was a good phone but i must say Bada OS really lacks good features like android ... Infact Bada have no match with Android... Now Im really enjoying Samsung Galaxy S2 in white with Updated Android version 2.3.6 ...

I have seen bada forums where people are cursing themselves for opting wave. And general sentiment stands as, "oh bada! Never agn!" Rubbish internet speed. On same netwk my n95 gives me 150% wave2's speed. Wave2 has horrible gps locking, making navigation almost unusable. Those HD games are age old, n most of us had completed them off on ios or android much b4 wave2 was launched. Browser cant download even rar or zip. No call management tool. Virtually the waves are overpriced mp4/etc video player. Thats it.

I seem to having wonderful experience with this handset S8500. I have tried most of the apps there are available for bada 1.2 in Kies. 10 home screens of apps and love them all. Waiting for wWve s8600 but will also hang onto my Wave S8500, as no hanging or freezing problems and battery also lasts 4 days, downloading e-mail,listening to music, watching videos and installed apps on 32 Gb MicroSD card. Wave rocks!!!! No other phone has excellent features. Excellent resolution, music is great to listen and HD games are available to play.

[deleted post]Lol....but the truth is, they r the smartphone king at the moment. But but but.....it wud b interesting to see if they sustain the place or go for a slump next year. Screen size has been pushed to the limit. Can't make any1 drool over a 6inch screen now. Core number is proving to b a gimmick. U have dual core when gingerbread supports just 1. And when ics arrives, there comes quad-core. So h/w-s/w asynchrony continues. Maybe the gen-next gs3 geeks will b shouting, let jellybean come, it will support quad core. And as far as sammy's other venture goes, ie bada......already majority of us (bada-users) r cursing ourselves for wasting our bucks over it. So by the time bada goes open-source 3.0, we wud have already turned our back to it. Wp7, the 3rd OS, with the giant called nokia there, it will push other wp7 vendors to the corner sooner or later. 2012 will be slippery for samsung.

Bada is OK, very user friendly. But I hope they can port it to Android for better performance. If Samsung can make this phone an Android phone, then it would be more enjoyable to use.

The phone has good specs but Bada is a big disappointment! I wish i didnt make this mistake! stick to android or other options where the software is more mainstream
