This is indeed a fast, smooth, and sleek looking phone. I've downloaded few programs from samsungapps but I can't find the suitable GPS application yet. Do anybody know how to put Garmin GPS work ?

        Hello umm...Wavers I believe lol,

Im VERY interested in buying this phone, but after watching reviews from ppl based here in the US, I noticed some flaws that Id like to have clarified for me.

        1. In the review it stated that the Samsung App store is not supported in the US. If this is true...is there any way to get around that?

        2. Again an issue cuz of the US locale, the phone was known for having bad reception here in the states. Is THIS true...and if yes, is it because of the phone or does it depend on the network ur with(T-Mobile, Sprint, etc)?

thanks in advance for ur feedback.

Samsung really needs to fix the problems with the phone and especially KIES! It seems like Samsung don't care after they release a new phone.
Wave is an awesome phone with a few things that don't match the fantastic hardware.
If Samsung seriously want to make Bada OS big they need to come up with firmware upgrades for Wave and upgrade for KIES as well.

raisa, 19 Aug 2010OMG! i accidentally dropped my precious wave on a 5 feet do... moreI think samsung has taken a special care in designing wave.If u watch top and the bottom of the phone is coverd with hard plastic some kind of coating given to it.and the screen part u can see on top and the bottom a little bit raised ends.I think these things should take care for atleast some kind of unexpected drops. Thanks for u r advice.I always carry my wave in the pouch came in the box.

OMG! i accidentally dropped my precious wave on a 5 feet down on d floor. It happened as i walked inside d mall. Gush! all eyes were looking at me coz of d terrible stumbled impact.
luckily, my wave still works great with tiny scratches. its my 1st time to comment like this because i want to thank samsung for d durability of this phone. to all wave owners out there please be careful with ur phone im just lucky that my phone was not broken.
a little advice if in case ur phone might accidentally fallen. Remove immediately the battery and rest it for a while (15-30 mins). it works fine after all. But in severe cases like broken screen or water drowned etc. bring it to ur nearest samsung care center. Well, that's all.. take care wavers. Peace ;)

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2010i wanna buy this phone..but few questions..is this phone do... morei wanna buy this phone..but few questions..is this phone does not support flash 4 web browsing?
-It has flash support up to Flash version 9. Some sites with Flash10 content are a hit or miss (this goes for all current phones that have flash support)

n what bout kies?is it working well in everybodies phone nw?
-Kies is the PC program to link the phone to a computer. Some versions of this program are buggy on certain Windows versions, so we try to help each other out to make Kies work on everyone's laptop/desktop. Admittedly, this is the aspect of Wave usage that Samsung really needs to improve on. The program is absolutely necessary for firmware upgrades from Samsung, but a lot of us are using the "firmware flashing" workaround instead. For other stuff, like transferring files or app installers, the included usb cable and just using Windows Explorer or Finder (Mac) is enough. Personally, I use bluetooth the most.

how much apps r there to download?
-admittedly less than Apple's App Store or Android Market at the moment. But about 1200 times more than when Apple released the first generation of iPhone and iPod Touch (I had my Touch for half a year before I was able to put any app on it). Samsung has a Bada Developer Challenge program/competition going that's about to end any week now, so most likely the next two months will see the introduction of a new wave (pardon the pun) of a lot of new Bada apps.

is it possible to transfer ne thing 4m coputer to wave without using wave?what about card reader?
-You can put files and installers on the memory card with a card reader. The memory card slot is under the battery though, so a switch off is necessary. But like I said, bluetooth version 3 (which wave and galaxy s are the first phone to sport) is pretty fast, so I hardly pull the card out.

Just to clarify--Are you having dropped frames from videos transferred to your phone or from streaming videos from websites? If it's transferred videos, you mean the original videos don't have dropped frames on your computer, but do on the phone?

If the latter's the case, you might want to try upgrading your firmware and/or clearing your phone memory (have most of your stuff on memory card instead), these might help. Most Wave units have superb video feedback, so these might be a peculiarity either of your particular unit, or the videos you're playing. Don't worry too much though, most probably this isn't a hardware thing, but rather something to do with your software or firmware
