Many features in this phone are annoying .it do not have true multitasking when you download something using application like ucweb if you minimize the download is automatically paused.this phone is divx certified but cannot download divx video using phone browser.then how can I watch avi files.all files cannot be transferred from pc.application support is worst .battery life is simply terrible.

OOOh yes I bought my S8500 yesterday, it's powerfull. The screen is beautiful for movies and pictures.
I think iphone 4 experience is not necessary for me. Very fast and very cool

                          I like it.

Touch this experience you will be happy

Two weeks with my Wave and going to share my honest opinion.

Note: I've been using SE P-910i for 4 years, which appeared to be a bug-free phone equipped with extremely clever-designed software, so my expectations were substantionaly high.

                              OVERALL

Extremely good-looking and sleek device, very fast, no hangs whatsoever, intuitive and convinient to use. Physically well-designed, metal body, very solid, slim, moderate dimensions and not problem at all to put it in any pocket you want. Powerful yet easy to learn. Great display; glass is coated with some type of oleophobic agent so it is unbealiveably slippery and soft to touch (I'm finding myself to touch the screen now and then without any need, just to feel it), very easy to perform any gestures on, close to none fingerprints and easy to clean when needed. Above average battery performance. And so on ... very handy toy.

                              ADVANTAGES

Hardware-wise: it is hard to compose more finished unit. I'm not going to discuss speciafications, it's just excellent. Maybe some type of D-pad will add a little to functionality. Elsewhere everything's on board.
OS and software wise: very intuitive; in couple of hours you'll be familiar with most major options.
Screen visibility is unbeliaveble, it's OK even at sunshine.
Still camera and video are very good, a lot of options, good pic-to-pic speed.
Music player is absolutely fantastic in terms of sound output as well as organisation.
Video player is also terrific, plays almost all formats out of the box.
Connectivity is wisely done. You are in control. You can safely shut down any data transmission to avoid additional charges on your data plan (keep in mind that Android and WinMo need third-party software to do that for they keep restoring data connection even you've forbiden it). Wi-Fi is set to be preferred option, so all aplications will use data connection only in case Wi-Fi is not available.
There is some unexpeted goodies here and there, example given: you are listening to some music, go to phonebook, dial some number. Music stops, you make your conversation and end the call. Misuc is automatically restored, but volume is incrementally increased not to harm your hearing. Nice done.

                              DISADVANTAGES

I've found many glitches in software and keep finding more, but keep in mind Bada is brand new and many of glitches should be easilly sorted out soon. I would like to say that in my opinion these glitches could be categorized in two segments: MINOR (or bugs) and MAJOR (or flaws).
MINOR disadvantages are just plain bugs (errors) in software and should be removed in soon updates. There are few bugs here and there and I can live with them OK, so I'm not going to discuss them thoroughly.
Just an example: when your battery is down, you get a message and a tone alert in periodic manner. Tone alert goes off even in complete silence profile which could be very annoying at moments and there is no way to avoid it.
MAJOR disadvantages are represented by some drastic software limitations, not errors. It is very person-specific topic, though. So I'm going to mention what annoys me personally.
                              1. Searchability. Wave is equipped with "Smart serach" application, which searches all the phone (and Internet if you want) for your input string. It finds a lot: contacts, phone numbers, calendar entries, songs, movies, notes etc. Though there is no way to search your contacts by Company or Middle name or Address or Note (e.g. by any specific field except name and number). WTF?? That makes my contact book nearly unusable. How on Earth I could find and call my carpenter within all 700 entries and ofcourse I can't remember his name?
                              2. Alphanumeric enties. A friend of mine has 4 home phones numbers. How on Earth can I remember which numer is which? In SE P-910 I could use an alphanumeric format, e.g.:
                              +0123 111111 (home)
                              +0123 222222 (girlfriend)
                              +0123 333333 (cottadge)
                              +0123 444444 (MAM)
and phone dials the numbers, just ignoring any letters or symbols. Wave just can't.
                              3. Phone numbers limit. You are limited to enter up to 5 phone numbers per person. WTF?? It is true that very few of my contacts have more than 5, but anyway, there ARE SOME, e.g. 2 home phones, 2 business phones, 2 mobiles and a fax. So ...?
                              4. Calendar is inadequate. You are not given a weekly view option (GSMArena, pls correct your review!!!). Correct me if I'm wrong, but weekly view is most important in organizing your life. And don't tell me it's matter of screen: on P-910 it was perfectly done within 2,9" and 208 x 320 pixels res. Just a glance and I'm informed about all my week duties. What a shame! Another very bad hit: suppose you're expected to have a work meeting every day next week from 9 AM till 11 AM. You go to Calendar and set up a meeting, but you are given just an option "everyday" and no more details on that pattern. Click YES and you'll find your Calndar full with meetings everyday till end of the World. It is going worse if your meeting are not everyday but, let's say, every tuesdays and fridays for a month. You are f**ed.

Don't get me wrong, Wave is a marvelous piece of art and my personal belief is that Samsung will keep an eye on it for year or two to improve it. Just let's hope a major update is around the corner (X-mass will do).

And a question: In my Contacts application I have no tabs (Info, History, Activities and Media), which can be seen at any [video] review? Should I activate some option or it is Firmvare limitation?

                              Thank you for your time.

I wrote this article just to be helpful.

                              Any comments are wellcomed.

And if it'spossible, excuse my English, it's my third language.

                              Peace.
