Thank you Adam for that info on how to modify themes and mms call tone with mp3. I had been trying for ages to figure out how to do it - all I could do previously was an mmf tone and the quality wasn't clear.

SOME THINDS YOU CAN TRY IF YOU ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH YOUR BATTERY LIFE! PLEASE READ THIS IS IMPORTANT
Here is a list of things that you can try.
1. Turn 3G off
2. Turn your phone off at night if its not needed.
3. Charge your battery properly!!
This is how ive been told to charge batteries and its worked for me so far!!
When you first get the phone let the factory charge run down, once it has TURN THE PHONE OFF, charge it overnight for atleast 8 hours, the next day turn the phone on and use it as normal, you will probably 2 or 3 days (or less) out of this FIRST CHARGE.
Once the phone has gone flat again AND ONLY THEN turn the phone off and charge overnight for atleast 8 hours. Turn the phone on again the next day and use is as normal, you should get 4 or 5 days.
Once the phone goes flat again AND ONLY THEN, turn the phone off, charge it overnight again for atleast 8 hours.
After 3 OVERNIGHT 8+hour charges you should get a full week out of it.
Please note it is vital that you TURN YOUR PHONE OFF to charge it or the battery wont get the full benefit of the charge.
If you have had this phone for awhile it possible to do the 3 overnight charges as described above and to "wake-up" the dead battery cells and you may ( i stress MAY) get more life out of you battery.
Another note, don't charge your phone unless its needing a charge. Meaning the battery sign is flashing! Charging it in little bursts leads the battery to believe that what you are charging is only what the battery is capable of. Also car chargers are good if it needs a little battery power while your in the car, but they trickle feed so its NOT TO BE USED for a full charge.
If you stick your phone on charge for a couple of hours and it says its full more than likely its not, this is why i recommend to charge for 8hrs+ and with it turned off, just so its not searching for network coverage or taking txts or ph calls.
This may not be correct in every case. It has worked for me. Ive done the 3 overnight charges and im up to my 5th day still on full battery power (& i use my phone a fair bit). If anyone else has any problems with this phone, plz let me know, i would like to help.

HOW TO SET 'NEW TEXT MESSAGE' RINGTONE TO A WAV
1. Use PC Explorer and copy Themes/Vodafone.thm to your desktop
2. Rename Vodafone.thm to Vodafone.thm.zip and unzip it
3. Open Vodafone.thm/theme.xml in Notepad
4. Change this line:
5. Find a wav file, rename it to new-sms.wav, and place it in the same dir as theme.xml
6. Create a zip file containing new-sms.wav, theme.wav and Surfing.jpg
7. Unzip the zipfile you just created and make sure that the directory structure is identical to the original unzipped Vodafone.thm.zip (I had to select the 3 files then add to a zip - simply zipping up the parent folder didn't work)
8. Rename your new zip file to MyTheme.thm (or suchlike)
9. Use PC Explorer to put MyTheme.thm back into your Themes/ folder on your phone
10. Disconnect your phone and switch to that theme.

I had similar problems with my battery having to charge it twice a day if I received a call. I ttook it back to the vodafone shop and they turned off the 3G network to help preserve the battery but I still have to charge the phone every day! I would not recommend this phone and now I'm stuck with it until the minimum contract period is up!!

I bought Samsung zv10 a month ago. Battery life is getting worse and worse.Went to Vodafone Ireland Store in the Pavillions shopping centre. I was told I need to charge my phone EVERYDAY, due to new technology. I was never told this when I bought the phone.They offer absolutely no help. I was also told that it depends on network coverage...however I think it is ridiculous that a battery lasts only ONE day without even using 3G. And for Vodafones Customer Service...pathetic!!! Extremely dissapointed.If Kaz (who just posted a message and who works for vodafone) manage to get some info on how to get this fixed it will be really really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This phone is great, but the battery life is not!I work for Vodafone and for everyone out there whos having a battery problem, I hear you. That stuff they tell you about new phones only lasting 1 day due to new technogoly is rubbish. I dont even get one day out of it now. And thats when Im not even using it. Its driving me insane and absoulty NO-ONE can give me answer! I will be in contact with Samsung today to see if I can find an answer, then if it works for my phone I will post it on here to help the rest of you with the same problem (which I might add its ALOT). Keep watching and I'll see if I can help you all.

So I have zv 10 around 3 months now.I bought this in Vodafone Germany. An I have very big problem with the battery. It lasts max 4 days.Very often I need to charge the phone after 24 hours in the situation I did't use the phone at all, not even single sms. I tried to complain to Vodafone shop, but they said that this is normal, this new technology works like this, now batteries can last even half a day and so on.But to be honest, the producer says that battery should be enough for max 220 hours, which means 9 days.This is not real information.I don't call,play or use MP3 player, UMTS is also off. What better conditions I can get? But I still have to charge my phone every two days. I really don'T know what to do.

Hi,
On one of the Spanish forums I found this code *#9998*324# that allows to enter the Test Mode on ZV10. Some people might find it useful. You can change some of the phone's settings that aren't accessible through normal menus.

The battery last a lot longer if you turn off 3g (Settings, connectivity, network mode, GSM 900/1800). Most of the time you don't need it, and if you do you can just switch it back on.
Hope this helps anyone with battery problems.

Hi !
I perhaps will buy this telephone because I find it perfect, but a point makes me hesitate: the camera... Which damage that it is VGA :( :( What do you think about it? Are the photographs nevertheless of good quality? I hesitate with a SE V600 but I dream of a clamshell...

the battery thing is a pain but it works fine if you charge it overnight, also even though the battery shows red you have at least half a day and a good few calls left. apparently if you turn of the 3G part then it lasts as long as others, think its in settings and then connections then choose the third one down, check in the carphone warehouse if in doubt,thats where i heard it! good luck all

to niall: I think you could get a blutooth adaptor for a printer and send the pictures to print by blutooth. You could even get a small portable printer (up to 6x4 size photos) which has PictBridge and then get a BT adaptor and print that way.

this is the best fone ever,u can download pictures from the internet for free but how do u print pictures.
